Heh, yeah I'm getting a little nervous as well, not sure if the spoilerish people will spoiler the spoilers so to speak. I mean, once the game is out I'm not checking this thread until I've finished the Single Player of course, but that's different. I see no excuse for spoiling something that hasn't even been released yet though. So far so good, but I'm not sure I'm willing to risk it for too much longer if this thread will keep to this particular topic :/

Oh yeah, forgot US gets this like 3 days earlier for completely nonsensical reasons. Guess I'll have to unsub this thread soon. Have fun all!
Also a final screw you to EA for the Day 1 DLC. : /

Believe me; this thread has so far been light on spoilers. If you really want to stay away, do not enter the BSN or the SomethingAwful forums. The shitstorm there is so huge you'd think there was an actual Reaper invasion going on, especially with someone posting plot details since they got their hands on a Space Edition of the game.

So this is not even leaked.
No game deserves a 10/10 in any department ever. 10/10 implies perfect in every single discernible way.

That's not their definition of what a 10 is. Their definition of a 10 is more along the lines of "The best we've seen relative to other games." They are comparing it to other games that exist rather than some kind of undefinable level of 'perfection'.

The guy has the game... he's played through it at least once and posted just about everything in the game in both forums, unless I'm reading your first sentence wrong. So... there is something to post about. Something being a gross understatement.
Edit: Then again, it could just a huge, elaborate troll coordinated between the two guys who have it. And I'll be the first to admit I fell for the troll.

Yeah screw them (the f*** got EA to do with this anyway? It is a Bioware game they made the DLC) for making additional content while the completed (!) game is being packed, shipped, and retailed. Screw them for wanting money for their work.
jeeez

I hate the endings, not b/c of the whole LI screwup, but because they are bad endings. Not good endings, but they make me feel like all the work that I put into 1 and 2 was lost for the sake of a conclusion to Shepard's story.
In other words, I'm going to murder someone at Bioware, probably whoever is their lead writer.

Yeah, you're right it's not like EA are publishing the game or involved with decisions on how it's going to be marketted or sold or anything, and they've certainly never tried to milk their customers for all they're worth in the past. Probably just Bioware by themselves. You're right of course.
Also, nice of them to make additional content that is clearly very story relevant, created in the production cycle everyone is paying for, with evidence it was being worked on during the main games cycle but decided to be cut off and sold seperately and "given" to the CE edition people to make up for not giving them a real DLC. Oh you bought the game day 1? Well now you can buy the rest of it too!
I'm happy to pay for the game, but I'll stick stick by "screw them" for charging me for the game and taking part of it away and reselling it after, thanks. You can accept whatever crappy deal you want, but don't pretend it's a good thing, or that i'm some kind of evil pirate saying they don't deserve to be paid.
"jeeez".

But remember: If you truly want to boycott the game for that, don't pirate it (or at least, not exclusively). Instead, buy a competitors product for the money that you would've spend on Mass Effect 3 and post evidence of it online in some form. Even a simple email to Bioware / EA might suffice for that.

Let me guess (I didn't read anything from the story leak):
The reaper get beaten by a deus ex machina? 8[
This would be the only "logical" way to beat a army of fucking gods where one alone can destroy anything the galaxy has. I hate these types of stories >.>

It's either some form of Deus Ex Machina, which sucks because Deus Ex Machina mechanics always stink. Or, the united army of the galaxy simply beats the reaper invasion.... which would be fail as well, since we all know the reapers are supposedly FAR superior.

+ Show Spoiler [Game spoilers] +You press a button to blow up the reapers or you press a button to become a reaper.
I'm not kidding.

There are references in ME1 to devices such as these. Such as Klencoryor the more crazy ones such as Ploba. Sadly i think bioware will just do some random generic thing tho

Mass Effect 2 spoilers inside that may relate to ME3's ending....
+ Show Spoiler + There are two things from Mass Effect 2 that aren't really resolved to my satisfaction. The first is why the Reaper are interested in humans. I know that humans have greater genetic variance than the other species, but why is this important?
Secondly, and more pertinent to how Mass Effect 3 may end, what was going on with the sun around which Haestrom (I think that's the name) orbits? As you may recall, Haestrom is where you rescue/recruit Tali that has the really hot sun that damages you if you don't stay in the shade. You learn during the mission that the sun is deteriorating at an accelerated rate for unknown reasons. Anyway, what if there is some unknown technology out there allows for the destruction/supernova of suns? What if Shepherd's ultimate decision at the end of ME3 is to decide whether to destroy the sun (and earth) thereby vanquishing the reapers that are there? Wouldn't that be a bitch....
EDIT: I haven't looked at any of the ME3 leaks and would rather not be informed that I am right about ME3's ending on the off chance that I am. So please, no comments from people who actually know what happens.

Well, y'know that the + Show Spoiler +might just be a+ Show Spoiler + "Prothean doomsday device"(according to Liara dialogue leaks) . And perhaps it might be based around the technology by which suns are destroyed.

Another theory which would be really interesting would be if you somehow get some reapers on your side. That would be neither a shitty deus ex machina, nor would it ruin the idea that reapers are more or less invincible.

been playing through ME1 and ME2 again to prepare for this.. am i the only person that is super fucking excited for mass effect 3?
