Something ridiculous happened. This may sound very emotional but Naniwa does not have qualifications to be a pro gamer.
On 13th December, one participant of Blizzcup, Naniwa, made everyone upset at the studio. Some staff members were not only panicked but outraged about what Naniwa did. In the 9th game where Naniwa was facing Nestea, Naniwa pulled all his probes and attacked Nestea's base then lost then called out GG.
Both Nestea and Naniwa had 3 losses and were not possible to advance however Nestea still told us that he will win the last match-up to have a better finish out of the tournament. All viewers at the studio wanted to see the game especially after all the dramas at MLG Providence.
But Naniwa did not meet the standard expectation for a pro-gamer and deteriorated Nestea's determination. The viewers could not hide anger off their face and Nestea also commented "That is just not understandable. I feel bad"
This tournament was organized by Blizzard and GomTV - trying to find the King of the Kings of 2011. This was not an online tournament with a petty prize pool. Not just inside Korea but there are many viewers who paid to watch this tournament. This tournament was a special 1st year anniversary of launching Starcraft 2 tournaments for the fans.
People have different reactions. From "If Naniwa gets GSL seed again from GomTV, I will strongly complain", "Greg Fields is an angel compared to Naniwa", "This is outrageous". Most fans blame Naniwa for his immature behaviour.
Staffs from other teams are also furious. MVP team twitted that "We are glad that Complexity transferred Naniwa to Quantic. The idea of having him in our team house for a longer period is just..." also IM's coach Dong-Hoon KANG did not refuse to show his frustration on his twitter.
Let's analyse what happened. Naniwa lost a game on purpose, he threw a game again. If there was any possibility of him winning with the initial probe rush then it could be seen as a strategy. But this 'play' cannot kill an opponent no matter what. He was already disqualified but throwing a game like that can not be justified whatsoever.
We swear that calling Naniwa a pro-gamer is overrating him. Even considering that he is young and free-style minded foreign player, he forgot to remember that pro-gamers are meant to show the best games out of their ability to fans.
Naniwa tried out for Code A in Korea previously. He had an experience about Korea and should know how competitive it is. Knowing these but throwing away a game like that shows that he does not have any professionalism.
We are not sure how Quantic will deal with Naniwa but what we are sure of is that there shouldn't be a chance of Naniwa getting seeded into GSL again. Also Blizzard and GomTV should firmly warn about such a behaviour to Naniwa. His irresponsible behaviour was a mockery to e-sports fans and fellow pro-gamers.

Korean's reactions on Twitter
MVP Team
We are glad Complexity sold Niniwa to Quantic. The idea about having Naniwa in our team house for longer... That was the most disappointing match in Starcraft 2 history
What makes us even angrier is that it was Nestea's birthday but he refused to stop practising for today. That is not a way of an opponent player.
Coach Kang (IM)
what.. it's you again..
FXOChoya
