On 13th December, one participant of Blizzcup, Naniwa, made everyone upset at the studio. Some staff members were not only panicked but outraged about what Naniwa did. Lol this is such an overreaction. Someone who was in the GOM studio even posted in the LR thread that they didn't care. Also lost respect for the MVP team. When he was there they didn't even bother to play 1 serious game with Naniwa and now they blame him!?

This is going to get VERY bad flack from the Korean community. And they can say whatever they want about Naniwa, because at this point, he collectively insulted them. I hate repeating myself, but that's how it is. The Koreans did the same/ worse things in BW foreign tournaments so them getting pissed about this seems quite ironic.

I won't say that I am always correct. In many cases my scope of knowledge is limited or just plain wrong. But being born into Asian descent with a stronger emphasis on Asian culture than most ABCs (American Born Chinese), I will say that this shit won't just end here.

The obsession then with showing good games is... kinda scary. I MUST ENTERTAIN MY FANS. I can't relate. I want to see my favourite players win. And when they're in unwinnable situations i want them to go home and cry or whatever they want to do other than be forced to play more games. Very different state of mind. Quite interesting the culture thing here. I must go to Korea some day.

Do you know anything about Korean culture or are you just taking bits and pieces from starcraft forum posts and thinking you understand the culture of an entire country?

Seems like people have already forgotten the Nestea/MVP match fixing at Blizzcon. The 13k/6k/200 larva saved up by Nestea and he lets MVP get a pity win after his loss earlier that day. Double standard. Where was all the drama over that? Why dose the Korean scene love the illusion of competition?

Go and watch State of the game ep 24 i think it was when Nony (liquid`Tyler) said that sc2 is a game stop being so serious . That's what the foreign scene thinks. In Korea, this is a sport to them, and this stuff is taken seriously as messing around.

You better believe there is double standards, from both ends of the spectrum. We are very prideful as humans. Here we are, calling people pathetic or stupid or moronic left and right, I rest my case. Both sides are "moronic", great.
