Why on earth hasn't a moderator taken action on this post? Does TL care about how female gamers are perceived in the community?
because its just a fun joke... some people really have tight assholes on this sight
and to the people complaining about it being a little sexist, yea it is a bit but its more then worth it if we can get more female support and more females involved in the community.
I don't want to argue with an idiot like you. You will drag me down to your level and beat me with experience.
So, if you went this far, you deserve to know that was a joke. Ha. Ha. Ha.
I made a reference to the number one funniest one liner according to this website (my god, it's so unfunny ><). Basically, my "tight asshole" wants to say that you shouldn't make private jokes when the people who won't understand you may get offended. And please, don't explain a private joke with another private joke, it simply makes no sense. It's not because I wrote "One liner <3" that everyone is supposed to understand. But I'm sure cool persons like you will find my "joke" hilarious =)

Look at the spoiler and you will realise its a quote from incontrol on state of the game mocking how people react to females on forums. Anyway nice interview she seems to legitly care about getting better but i still am a bit iffy about how everyone swarms to females who make a tiny splash in sc2 and then complain about the amount of attention they get.
I don't see how the fact that it's intended to be a joke justifies it. Again, it's about perception - it's the first post in this thread and really doesn't look good to anyone who doesn't know about the joke.

So we should all react with knee jerk reactions and get all angry about jokes? ugh... not these people.
I hope the amount of publicity that has come out of this MLG doesn't put ridiculous amounts of pressure for her to perform from now on. Hate it when someone is turned from just enjoying the game to almost forced performance standards.

Funny how you ignored my reasoning about perception and instead chose to call it a "knee jerk" reaction. If only we could always change what someone else said in order to make it easier to argue against .
Stop white-knighting. There are no jokes that everybody find equally funny. And I serious doubt that any female will take offense to that joke, in that context, in that post, with that spoiler. There might be some confusion first. Good thing people have eyes and can read the rest of the thread.
I don't really know how I feel about this. On the one hand I think it's great that we are getting a more diverse group representing us at MLG and I support women in gaming and all that jazz, but on the other I saw MLG throw this girl from diamond league against Losira, and put her up on the stage while Tastosis tried to make it seem like she had a chance. It was kind of painful to watch. and I felt bad for her. I hope she does well, I she gets better, but I think that making BFD about this is equally sexist and portrays our community as a bunch of nerds who go OH SHIT A GIRL every time something like this happens rather than the loving, accepting one we are.

Brackets are more or less random so they didn't "throw her" against Losira, it just happened Edit: Good interview, liked the questions and her answers were nice
