I find it hilarious that she was asked "do you think females get unwarranted attention online?" when this thread only exists because she's a girl. Where are the interviews with the hundred other diamond players who played at providence? Oh, that's right, they don't exist because nobody cares about them or remembers their name. And half the comments in this thread are about how pretty or cute she is, to the great pride of TL's male userbase. Props to her for having the courage to actually do this, though. I can imagine that not only the negative attention, but also the enlightened TL posters who will claim to be a fan of you just because you have breasts, will eventually be bothersome if not intimidating enough to get a girl to never participate in a tournament. Thanks for stating the obvious, I'm pretty sure everyone's aware that she's female you know. That's not the only reason she is getting this attention though, let's be honest. First off she is one of very few girl gamers on a really established team like Check Six, so immediately a lot more people will want to know about that story (which was indeed covered on every interview she did) than just some randomly picked diamond player from the open-bracket. She's good in front of a camera too, which cannot be said for a lot of pro players after months of interviews and PR. Then there's the fact that MLG decided to put her on the main-stage and give her some exposure. Now most people will say "Well Flo is master league and has attended multiple MLG's but she's never been given the chance!?" Which I completely understand and agree with, however they probably feared doing it for so long because of the backlash the community would give them for it. There was a lot of downtime on that friday too, not many top level games were being played, if at all, so it was the perfect timing for them to go ahead and do it. I fully expect now that Julia was given the opportunity, we will see more girl gamers going up on the stage and getting their slice of the action too. Props to MLG though. I think it was a great choice to make. Yes, she got completely rolled by Losira as everyone expected, but the statement it made was more important and that's what matters. Edit: Forgot to add quote in.

Look at the spoiler and you will realise its a quote from incontrol on state of the game mocking how people react to females on forums. Anyway nice interview she seems to legitly care about getting better but i still am a bit iffy about how everyone swarms to females who make a tiny splash in sc2 and then complain about the amount of attention they get.

It goes both ways you know ![]() So your logic is that because she's "female and good looking," sexist comments are justified. What you fail to realize is that sexist comments can't be justified under any circumstances.
