I totally support the growth of the female presence in the scene, I just think that creating a tournament just for a particular sex and having people openly promote it is a terrible, if not actually detrimental, way of going about it.

The only reason why sports separate men from women is because of a proven biological advantage. But for games, men and women start on equal ground. The creation of a tournament just for women, even with the intention to help further female presence in the scene, is sexist. I think a few nice female tournaments in the first year(s) are really nice. Girls can see girls playing the game, adopt them as a sort of rolemodel, and get into the game themselves. Once there is a nice amount of girls, some top girlgamers will probably pop up in IPL/MLG/NASL events and girlevents are not really necessary anymore ![]() At least thats how i see it ![]()

I was also kinda surprised that she's only diamond, thought she was masters. Either way, she's cool.

While playing Losira she was constanly moving her arm to the right side of the keyboard. That really slows a player down.. I was also kinda surprised that she's only diamond, thought she was masters. They just watch a game between two players wherer bugs, aliens and little soldiers go boom, which is pretty entertaining once you know why they go boom. One of the players being female is irrelephant. If you like the game you will play, and if yo don't you won't. I don' see my wife playing sc2 just because one girl does. She is happy watching it and playing zombies vs plants on her Iphone, or WoW.

'cuz people find her hot, I guess... If all the female master players would come out of hiding and just look anywhere close to standard I'm sure they'd get alot of attention aswell. Standard looks + shared interest = Hot... (this goes for girls aswell. Ever seen a standard guy playing guitar (or w/e) laying down way more girls than he should?)

Glad to hear she beat up some people in the tournament. I saw some of the Losira match but not a lot (i blame Skyrim for everything) so i didn't have a clue how she went beyond the inevitable 0-2. Interesting about the quantity of lower players. It's a great thing anyone can enter the tournament and get that experience. Just seeing her talking about the Losira match. That had to be special. Losing to Losira and Destiny? Can't complain there right? She also looks a lot like someone too... I wanted to say Leelee Sobieski but after googling maybe not so much. Yeah, lovely lass, good head on her shoulders, hope she does well and get Masters etc. Best of luck to her~!

It goes both ways you know ![]() This times one hundred. I find it hilarious that she was asked "do you think females get unwarranted attention online?" when this thread only exists because she's a girl. Where are the interviews with the hundred other diamond players who played at providence? Oh, that's right, they don't exist because nobody cares about them or remembers their name. And half the comments in this thread are about how pretty or cute she is, to the great pride of TL's male userbase. Props to her for having the courage to actually do this, though. I can imagine that not only the negative attention, but also the enlightened TL posters who will claim to be a fan of you just because you have breasts, will eventually be bothersome if not intimidating enough to get a girl to never participate in a tournament.
