You are right that not all jokes are equally funny. But some jokes are not only not funny, they're also offensive.
I guarantee you there are females who would take offense to that. It's kind of silly to suggest otherwise. The context is rife for some to take offense, given that the topic is a (rare) female progamer and the first reaction is "pee in her butt." Few females would get the inside joke. Even if they do get it after reading the thread, it doesn't necessarily take away the offensiveness since again it's possible for jokes to be offensive.

I can imagine that not only the negative attention, but also the enlightened TL posters who will claim to be a fan of you just because you have breasts, will eventually be bothersome if not intimidating enough to get a girl to never participate in a tournament.
I imagine that if a male diamond player played against Losira on the main stage of the national championship tournament, he would also be interviewed, and a thread would have been made. Her games vs Losira on the main stage are the main reason she caught anyone's attention. Yes, she is a female so she ended up receiving more of it than a male would, but these interviews wouldn't be here if she hadn't been thrust into that situation.

Yeah, forget females: I'm male, and I found it very distasteful and not the least bit funny. Its being a reference to an equally distasteful, non-funny joke doesn't change that.

Good interview ! By the way, she must be some member of Dustin Browder family, riiiiiiiight ?

To me StarCraft/BW is like a Colosseum where nerds fight to the death. I am one of the people who watches the whole tournament. I'm happy she got on stage, she got to see how much she needs to improve, which is great for anyone and everyone. And LosirA is a pretty nice guy, if I wanted anyone to smash me in my nerd brain, I think I'd want it to be him too.
gg Julia. I'm sure you'll be in Masters/ or even Grandmasters in the future, one thing I did notice is you haven't setup your hotkeys yet, set them up so you don't have to move your right hand so far each time, you lost half your apm just because of moving your hand so much.

That it took several pages to explain it in context says something I think...
I just hope it doesn't become some meme when where every new female gamer is greeted with:
+ Show Spoiler +I'd pee in her butt, too <3 State of the Game

Stop talking about the joke. Start talking about the interview.

TL is often regarded as too harsh... I don't think it's harsh enough. Don't just close a thread mocking a player, delete it. That closed thread can still be found. Actively upvote and downvote on Reddit.. there is a lot of really dumb stuff that makes it far (sometimes) on reddit. As such, most of the community regards Reddit as a silly place where no real discussion is had. But that is home to a lot of people who WANT that place to be taken serious... be an active part of that! Jokes are great, poking fun at players and people is fine and good but taking it to extreme levels shouldn't be allowed to passively happen.. do something about it. I used TL and Reddit as examples but there are countless places where SC2 is discussed.. clean up your youtube comments, block trolls on twitter and ignore them... ban all the hate you can find in your stream chat. If we can clean up this community by 1% we have made the SC2 world a better place for everyone. I do hope you get banned. + Show Spoiler +Or there's a joke I'm missing, but it does sound like a bad joke Edit : + Show Spoiler +OK, english is not my first language, I just googled that magnificent expression, and I have to say that I am properly stupefied by the fact that this is supposedly a compliment ><
Lol, it is a joke. A joke InControl made himself on State of the Game, thus his spoiler below that comment.

I personally think it is less that she is a female and more that she is the first female on the main stage ever.

When she said that she was sad while at Disneyland on the SC2 release-day... + Show Spoiler +...I knew that her passion was real. Admirable nerd-ballery.

Great interview, I like that you have short term goals that roll into your long term ones (and that they're practical).
Good luck with getting masters, keep gaming!
