I think the point is that Flo vs Jinro would have probably been a better mainstage match than Julia vs LosirA

That's life though. Themz the breaks. Atleast after her loss to Losira she won a couple times in the losers bracket before getting knocked out. She may have got wrecked by Losira but there was obviously a few people who couldn't beat her. Going to your first live event to compete is such an experience for any gamer. People also need to learn how to market themselves Being a girl obviously helps but there are thousands of males trying to be a gamer, it's harder to get known... make a name for yourself and then work from there. In all honesty, I never realized how many people neglect to think about the opening rounds of a OPEN tourney. Ignorance is bliss, I guess.

How about a little consistency around here people? As for the interview. Decent enough I suppose. Always a good thing to see more women trying to break in. I hope it was just nerves bugging her because all the pauses and uh's and such leave a pretty bad impression on her public speaking ability. I appreciate the fact that she pretty candidly admits that being a girl gives her an advantage in stream viewers and such. I hope she can back her words though and get good enough to be up there with the pro's and isn't yet another "1 hit wonder".

In having female-only tournaments, you're basically conceding to the fact that females can't keep up with males within the context of a pro-gaming environment. Since over the time it has been proven that in esports female players are not able to compete with top male players why would you randomly throw in equality? From an objective point of view a girl achieving a result in esports is more worthy than a guy with the same result. I am pretty sure most female players agree on this and there's a reason 100% of the top players in SC2 are guys. Honestly having female tournaments only harms no one and makes esports more interesting, and if any random grandmaster guy is pissed they don't get the same attention as a diamond girl then they better work their ass off to get to a point where they deserve to be recognized rather than crying. tldr: dont make random statements about girls claiming to be equal to guys in esports when nobody ever said so.

Actually, I don't see HOW it's been proven that girls can't compete at the same level as guys. In fact, scientific study has proven that women are actually better at multitasking than men are, which is an essential skill in Starcraft. I think it comes down to the fact that there are no women that commit to the game as much as the professional men do. It doesn't necessarily help with teams signing reportedly Diamond level players like SlayerS Eve, or Julia to CheckSix. Women are separated out in physical sports like Golf, Tennis, Swimming, Soccer, etc. because the female body is not as athletic as the male body, however in a game like Starcraft or Chess, there's no handicap from being a female, it's just the lack of effort put in by the "professional" females compared to the professional males.

Putting effort in competing is the essential ability to become a top player in esports. Having a talent for multitasking only helps in the way. Your argument makes no sense to me, especially since the numbers obviously state that there's no top female player it's obvious to assume that, for whatever reason, the genders are not equal when it comes to esports.

I remember you presenting this as one of the extremes of how people perceive girls getting attention in the community. I just happened to see the clip a couple hours before this interview was posted thought it would be recognized fairly quickly. Obviously this was a mistake on my part. It was a joke people, does it make any sense that I would preface with comments regarding the interview and her articulation only to make a more retarded sounding remark? I got a warning, everyone can be happy now. Focus on how the attention that girl gamers are getting is actually a good thing as opposed to a sexist approach to esports.
