Weird to see the game is the same as the French version but with completely different background.

Sorry, I need an explanation of this reasoning. The only reason I can think of that the mayor would want to lynch the sherriff day one would be because the mayor is mafia and wants to sacrifice himself to off a blue and render the bodyguards useless. I'm ok with this because I don't think this is a sane tactic. Why would a townie mayor lynch his sherriff?

Because he might suspect the sheriff is scum and wants him dead before he can communicate the identity of his bgs to his team? Because the roleblock + pardon would be powerful in scum hands? Because he legitimately thinks the person who got elected sheriff is scum?

Not necessarily, but its a choice that the mayor may have to weigh carefully. We are also considering updating the rules to keep the mayor from lynching the sheriff day 1, but we'll see ^_^

Never played before, but after stumbling onto this forum a few days ago, reading what is what, this sounds stupidly fun. And a game as big as this makes me not feel much, "noob don't screw up" pressure!
