Before that point, MVP was undisputably better with far more championships and a better head to head. MMA fixed the head to head with victory and took out the big competition which puts you at the top. However, rather than look worse than MMA, MVP shrugged it off and proceeded to win multiple (3?) tournaments after his MMA loss, proving that he's still at the top. MMA needs more consistency, and further top finishes (and victories). Sure, MVP has 9 championships, but 3 are in the last 2 weeks right? MMA has had 1 in the last 3-ish months? Of course head to head matters, but overall results matter as well. Polt beat MMA in the super tournament, but at that moment no-one said "best player in the world" straight up did they? To be fair, I do think MMA has the talent and mindset of a champion. I won't be surprised if he does become the best player, but for now MVP is too recently successful regardless of that one loss. | ||
