It would however be nice if the gaming community would learn some real words :D

However, just remember that some of these people are just starting and you may be the first person they played online. As someone who has ladderphobia I know how debilitating it can be to finally summon the courage to play a game and then end up dying to something silly. Of course, I know better now and know that if I lose to something stupid then it's my own stupid fault, but someone new might not feel the same way. I'm just saying be careful because that sort of thing can be quite a traumatizing experience to newbs. Anyway, enjoyed the read. Good luck with your portrait farming! P.S. If an experience like this can teach you to remove "faggot" from your vocabulary then I think it's already worthwhile.

I think you've missed a South Park episode on the meaning of "fag" "faggot", here's a link, but watch the entire show and look up the etymology of "faggot".

Do you realise that you are ruining the sc2 experience for hundreds of people just picking up starcraft 2? People that have heard from some friend about how awesome the game is, went and bought it and started some ladder games which placed them at the bottom. completely normal. Then they run into people like you... They are starting to understand that it is important to build scvs at the start, and they are just starting to pick up the habit of pressing "s" rather than using the mouse to build scvs. Suddenly when they are trying to keep track of their supply to know when they should build the depot, they see probes running in to their base, and they panic and watch their scvs being killed. FUCK! They see the probes starting to attack their command center. What to do?! WHAT TO DO?? They remember that cool move from the campaign that you can lift of building, and they realise that your probes cant attack air, so they lift off. They have found a solution to this new problem and they feel smart. Hmm, now what. they start looking a the minimap to see if there are any good places to go. Then what happens? They guy they are playing start lecturing them on how retarded they are and how little they know about starcraft... He treats them like little children that dont understand anything. They feel insulted, they just picked up the game, they are not stupid, just inexperienced against this attack. The next day they meet their friend that introduced starcraft to them. The friend greets him with an expecting smile and asks "Hey, did you try playing? How was it?" The bronze leaguer opens the mouth. And closes it again. They with a disappointed voice he replies "Well, the games seems cool, but battlenet is full of kids being bad mannered it kindof takes the fun out of it..." The friend knows all too well what he is talking about. He loves starcraft and have played many years, and have learned to ignore the darker sides of battle net. He wants to transmit the love for the game to the bronze leaguer, but cannot find words to explain how he should ignore the bad manners he encounters. All he manages to say after a short pause is "hmm, yeah, some are like that.." By the end of the year, the friend sees the bronze leaguers account in his friends list. 89/100, bronze. 4 wins. Last online: 5 months. He sighs and removes him from the friend list. He know that he will never log in again. He couldn't even convince him to play a 2on2... Well done on blocking the influx of new players to sc2.

I'm not bothering to watch it, but I'll assume you're making a frivolous argument about connotation versus denotation, despite the fact the we all know which connotative use is being employed. -_- As such, I hope you're just kidding. But sadly, you're probably not.

I have a bronzie friend that's horrible and every week or so, she needs someone to go play some games on her account to get the MMR back up to a point where she's not constantly facing worker rushers... so she can actually have some fun. If she didn't know anyone to do that for her, she would have given up on the game already. You're driving people away from the game.

People win games for her instead of, I don't know... teaching her how to a-move? This is literally the easiest thing in the game to beat. If she's constantly facing worker rushes, she should be winning (because it's so easy to do) and getting her MMR to a decent point on her own. OT: Love this series, it's hilarious :D Hope there'll be another :D

Doesn't scout yet and rarely checks the minimap so she's not aware they're coming until they've already flooded in. By the time she reacts, she's already lost the SCV building the depot/barracks and usually another one, making it a "fair" fight in terms of numbers so it comes down to micro. Since most of the people doing this are gold+, there's a decided difference in micro abilities. That means she loses and gets frustrated and doesn't play for a while (since she'll just get matched up against the same guy if she queues up again anyway) This sounds wrong, I have a similar friend who plays (with the same faults) and one of the first things we did on customs was practice about 10 games against worker rushing (I was doing the worker rushing). She's never lost to that again... Teach her, don't win games for her...

This seems super counter-intuitive. Why not teach her how to play? And does she want to have fun or to win? :/

Sure he worker rushes but he doesn't ruin the "SC2 experience". Blame SC2's design flaws (that worker rushes are viable at all) if anything. Either way, it was an excellent read and I laughed quite a bit irl. ^^ Gheed I'm curious do you follow the competitive SC2 scene?

The fact that a lot of people are enjoying this read only further extends the SC2 experience to more advanced people who can enjoy the mindless bm of lower league people!
