Your advice isn't very helpful though... not sure how serious you are... Even if you get an older car you still don't want it all dented in....
And here i thought it was quite obvious that i was joking. Just wanted to say his car looks nice, as it does. Sorry for your car though, if there's cameras, should be easy to spot who did it.

Nice car yo. Sucks that there are idiots in todays society that have no conscience.

I really don't think your insurance would go up since it was not your fault at all. I would get the police report and claim insurance.
People have this notion that every time you claim insurance, your rates will go up: this is not true. This is exactly what insurance is for, so use it.

It's not true - unless you make a lot of claims.
For a one or two time deal it shouldn't (shouldn't! Tickets, other violations might have a factor in it) cause your rates to go up. Can always ask your parents what they think.
Like I said before, I was involved in three hit and runs - all three while the car was parked and I was working - and my rates didn't go up when my car had to have two fenders replaced and a door/mirror bracket replaced.

^^^^^^^
If it isn't your fault and you don't have a a lot of other "claims" or "infractions" then by all means make a damn claim.
It's stupid to pay 140+ a month (likely given you're driving a Z) for insurance and then not freaking use it.

My boyfriend got the rims stolen off his brand new G37S earlier this year. Right in his apartment complex.... In a well it area around 11PM.
We were walking to my car when we saw the guys take off in an untagged accord. Thankfully insurance covered it, but the whole process was pretty stressful. Lots of fuck ups by the dealership, u_u

Honestly, if I had an older car or a lesser car, I'd still be pretty pissed. It's still my property and someone just blatantly rammed into it without manning up and admitting that they're at fault.

Yeah, I'll double check. I'm going to head over to the body shop today, get a quote. If it's fairly reasonable, I'll just pay out of pocket. If it's stupid ridiculous, I'm calling up AAA.

Not sure if you're in the mood for a slightly funny story about accidents, but a car my friend was in got hit while it was parked in a parking lot - everyone was in the car so the driver pretty much had to stop and come over. She tried to give fake info (fake number, email) but she failed because the driver of the hit car wrote down her license plate number.
I'm sorry about your car, and I know a lot of people have said this before but it's quite a sexy car. =)

Even damaged, your car is better than the one I have to use lol

Hahahah. Someone did that to my dad. D: He didn't care though-- it was just a minor scratch, so he just took it to the bodyshop and they touched it up for free.
I just came back from the bodyshop this morning to grab a quote. They estimated that assuming they do need to replace the bumper, it's gonna be around $1,500. :\ So prob just gonna claim it now u_u;
Car will be in the shop for probably 4 days -__-

Call insurance and ask first like micro said. That's two separate things there that gotta get dinged out and buffed. You probably won't get a hike and the repairs, even with family friends, I'm sure are more than $500 unless they really, really like you.

Yeah, last night, I thought it wasn't that bad and everything could've been popped out and repainted. Upon closer inspection this morning, NOPE! Bumper is most likely done. :\ They could try to salvage the bumper, but it probably won't look the same. just gotta buy a brand new one.

You never know. I had some moron back into me at a few years back and mangle up the hood and bumper of my Audi. I found a dude who was able to bend it back perfectly, looked like new, so I got the guy to pay it out of pocket and got some cash for myself because I saved on a new one.

Yeah, we'll see. I'm probably taking it either tomorrow or Thursday. QQ
