People that mock this needs to shut up, it's real. And like all/most phobias, it's not really rational or can be explained. You can't compare it to fear of the dark or anything like that. Fear of the dark very rarely triggers from watching a dark space, you have to be in the dark yourself etc. A small change to the art work would be nice I think.

The last few ones (the ones with humans) were the ones that really made me sick, I'm actually really disgusted and weirded out by that kind of stuff. Nonetheless, I don't think I'll be shitting my pants over a swarm host push for the wrong reasons anytime soon.

What is Trypophobia? The irrational fear of clusters of holes, pods, circles, cracks, and/or other asymmestrical shapes which results in an all-over itchy feeling and a general uneasiness. Asymmetrical was also spelled wrong. This isn't a real condition.

I have a terrible fear for toads and I need someone to tell me that what I just saw was something absolutley disgusting so I can justify my fear. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surinam_toad During each arc, the female releases 3-10 eggs, which get embedded in the skin on her back by the male's movements. After implantation the eggs sink into the skin and form pockets over a period of several days, eventually taking on the appearance of an irregular honeycomb. The larvae develop through the tadpole stage inside these pockets, eventually emerging from the mother's back as fully developed toads, though they are less than an inch long (2 cm). Once they have emerged from their mother's back, the toads begin a largely solitary life. This is the one I guess?

Then I saw the lotus boob. Gack. This won't ruin the game but I would love to have the swarm host on my screen without feeling this unease.

I don't get the phobia. I watched it and was very confused. Obviously the idea of holes and pustules on skin is very disturbing, but pizza dough and apples? I don't get it. Yep. That's what happened through the entire thread... -_- I'm sure that multiple people per page ACTUALLY have this phobia, right? To anyone saying they have this: what about burrowing and unburrowing zerglings, as Destiny said? How does that not trigger it?

The pecks they leave on the ground make me uneasy.

I'm quite amazed at some of the reactions in this topic. So far, the polls point out that over 1 out of 10 players is actually disgusted by the Swarm Host artwork. I would say that is a pretty high percentage. Please be aware that such polls are NOT representative. The real number is almost certainly much lower. Polls like these are influenced by many things. One of them is, that people with this phobia are more likely to vote. That is a lot different from choosing a representative amount of people first and THEN asking them a question (or questions), which they all have to answer.

Roach holes after they unborrow get me. As do burrowed Banelings because they have their dots which are small clustered holes. But this stuff is rather mild, and I can easily get over it. Browder's video of the Swarm Host was quite different and far worse, and I really do not want to have to watch it again.
