you're a very small, very insignificant (sorry) portion of the gaming (or society as a whole) community. Companies cannot make changes for every niche problem people have, you know many people may have a phobia of roaches? Intense fear of aliens? Or are terrified if they hear gunfire? I'm sure you can find plenty of issues with much high % of people that are affected that are currently in many popular games, why you think blizzard should change their unit design because of this extremely small niche group is really quite delusional.

To be honest, the video / gameplay at blizzcon didn't affect me/i didn't notice it.... but when JP showed the images of the holes in the fingers... ewww, that's just fucking gross man.....

I can see how this would be a problem, and since HoTS is so far away, I don't see why not

While I know the OP said not to respond with other phobias, I can't help but do so.

I suffer from thanatophobia (fear of death/dying) yet I play Starcraft pretty extensively. Have you ever counted the number of deaths in a game of SC2? Every unit makes a specific noise when it dies, telling you that it is dying... However, that doesn't stop me from playing. Yeah, it creeps me out when I stop to think about it (like when I'm writing this post) but I don't think that it's a bigger deal than that.

Really don't think changing the unit is necessary.

I also think the game is far to insensitive to our veterans. Do we really think its appropriate to show marines being ripped to shreds by alien monsters?

And for that matter, why must we call the zealot a zealot? This reinforces negative stereotypes about the religious....

Lol the test is the biggest joke of a test ever... When you do a psychological test you DON'T tell people what the test is about and what their reactions should be, the test is immediately flawed from that point on.

Also the stuff it showed in there doesn't prove this 'phobia', a phobia is defined as 'An extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something'; there is nothing irrational about being at least mildly disgusted seeing weird indentations in human skin with maggots crawling through them, but this is not the same as being repulsed by a few pods on a computer generated skin.

Although I did have a chuckle when I saw urban dictionary quoted as a credible source...

I feel uncomfortable with viewing lots of circles, but I don't think the swarm host is that bad from the gameplay footage. You can only see like 5 holes which isn't that much. I think the art could be improved, but I'm okay with it at the moment.

Ugh, now I feel itchy from all this discussion.

I still stand by what I posted earlier - I dont think this is significant enough for Blizzard to change the design, from the videos I have seen, the holes are not that visible

However, going through the funny pictures thread (Daily ritual), I stumpled on this image and I got a really weird disgusting feeling..

Is this related to the holes maybe? Or am I completely alone on this one?
