Personally I think the swarm host just looks stupid and the name is even worse. I like what they are trying to do with the role of the unit for Z, but it's just not comparing to the lurker (as it's supposed to fill this role). It needs to look scarier and have a scarier name. BTW, this thread is probably counter intuitive. Blizzard will see this and be like "WOW THESE PEOPLE ARE FREAKED OUT, WE DID A GOOD JOB. DONT EVER CHANGE THAT UNIT"

At that point my head, back and neck felt all tingly, and I got a terrible itch on the left side of my neck... I never knew this was an actual phobia. This kind of shit's bugged me all my life, lol. It's not. It doesn't even fit the definition of an actual phobia. It's just gross images, it would make anyone uncomfortable. It doesn't mean you have a condition. You are normal.

This may be a legit condition, but I guess most of the people here that are self diagnosticing themeselves do not really suffer from this. Reminds me of aspergers.

I'll be booking an appointment with a therapist who will be able to help me return to a healthy, rational mindset so that my irrational fears don't hold me back from enjoying the things I do.

Exactly! It's like a fat person suing McDonalds, or a lazy parent complaining about violence in the media.

(lets ignore the tyranids for the conversation lol) you can go look at hundreds of parasite videos on youtube (or any video of bugs on skin), and i can bet we will all scratch ourselves, but does that mean we should change the artwork for larva? what about nydus worm? what about infestors? what you're probably suffering from is hypochondria, and no, you won't need to resort to urbandictionary for the definition. oh lets have fun; scratch your head and zerg larvae artwork gets changed

IMHO, anyone with a working brain should see there is a significant difference between seeing real-life maggots nesting in a real-life person's skin, and seeing something somewhat similar on a cartoony model in a computer game. Unless someone is actively conditioning you and telling you there *is* no difference, which is what OP is actually trying to accomplish (for some disturbing reason only he probably understands). I mean, if I see a bug resembling Infestor or Roach crawling on my arm I'd be grossed out. If someone's face sported a huge pulsating boil resembling a building Hatchery I'd puke. An actual pile of blood and guts would disgust me, as opposed to pixelated blood and guts you get by shooting down an Overlord. And yes, I've actually had nightmares after seeing that picture with a close-up of woman's breast infected with spider eggs, even though I knew the picture was fake beforehand. But guess what? I'm ok with Swarm Host artwork, because I have working eyes and working brain and can pretty much see the difference between computer graphics and real-life imagery. Don't let yourself get conditioned by threads like these, and especially by that manipulative "test" videos. There's a reason why the OP asked you whether you'd prefer different artwork AFTER he made you watch a video and AFTER he asked you what you think about the video. Be smart, don't let yourself get manipulated and played for a fool. Especially since you *can* psyche yourself into a phobia, and that's one thing you do not need in your life. So far, the polls point out that I've managed to manipulate and freak out over 1 out of 10 players. Tee hee! Oh and no, I'm not trolling.

He was playing world of warcraft and raiding naxxramas, in this instance there is a large spider boss. Everything was going fine untill the tank died and he got aggro.... he crushed his screen. The end

But it's really not self-diagnosis -- there's an actual physiological reaction going on, and either you experience it or you don't. I mean, I can look at lotus pods without really feeling anything, and that picture of cracks that some guy posted has zero effect on me, but show me a lamprey or especially those goddamn photoshopped lamprey fingers and I feel profoundly unsettled and uncomfortable. I saw the lamprey fingers for the first time on the internet probably a half decade ago and they still absolutely gross me out. There is clearly some sort of instinctual, visceral reaction to patterns like this.
