I think it's likely that Huk and Select declined due to cross-realm and Nestea declined because of travel, not that all 3 declined for both reasons (since obviously Huk has no problem traveling all over the world).

How about Mana, Stephano, and Nerchio... the Great Foreigner Hopes...

I think you probably got it backwards actually. Nestea expressed he wouldn't want to play in anymore online tournaments due to lag.
Huk is probably traveling too much which is why he declined.
Select is anyone's guess.

I love the fact that you don't take the easy route with full out replays all the way like other tournaments likes to do. Live is so much more fun and exciting!
Sounds like an insane show, MLG ftw :D

Probably that Huk and Select would have been placed in the NA bracket. Means they have to play on NA server against other NA players.
But Huk and Select are currently in Korea right now. So that might be the cross-realm thing they are talking about. Not sure about Nestea's reason but they might have that covered with the Blizzcon invite. Seeing that MVP is already guaranteed an invite to Providence. And Nestea doesn't like to play online tournaments anyway.

Dammit, why does Nestea not accept these invitations to foreign tournaments. I WANT TO SEE NESTEA CRUSH SOME FOREIGNER NERDS!

I assumed they meant when they played the other two realms for the championship spot.

People just need to relax and enjoy the tournament as there are some absolutely amazing players in this tournament.

Shhhhh. I'm allowed to express my man crush on my favorite Euros. = )

great euro and korean invites, all top players that have proved themselves
im curious as to how the NA invites were picked though. idra/kiwi/slush/sheth/tyler are good choices competitively, as they've done well at mlg's and outside competition. destiny is (in my personal opinion) always a good choice because he draws crowds and viewers, and without a doubt isn't a poor player. major is a strong player, but seems to have the majority of the community against him, and really hasn't done anything since his first MLG appearance. and iNcontroL seems to benefit from being JP's friend along the same lines as destiny. he's a person that will EASILY bring in crowds/viewers as he's such a good person for the community, but honestly can't see him winning a series

Can I ask one simple thing? Why out of 8 korean invites there is only 1 toss and he has zero success? Apparently in everything they do, whether it is choosing which matches to stream or which players to invite, MLG always ignores protoss. Nothing more to say.

It doesn't matter, all tosses will be knocked out 1st round anyway regardless of who they send.
Anyway, all these cool tournaments are just overwhelming ^^

it's a nice initiative but i am pretty sure they could have had a lower online tourney prize pool and a buffed "lan finals" one. my biggest concern with mlg has always been prize pools, when you see the major events with 8th place getting 400$ and everyone under getting nothing it just feels like the line-ups are WAY TOO EPIC for the rewards. when you see that the 3rd place of this tourney gets 500$, and is potentially the 9th player overall (3 servers), you don't really understand why....

Seems like an amazing tournament, would've loved to see some different invites, like MaNa/Nerchio/Dimaga instead of Haypro, but maybe Haypro will surprise us all !
Should be great, even though those players aren't there ^^
