In a zombie universe, that man exhales and the undead legions crumble. He also looks like a boss and could take out Solid Snake in CQC (though it would be close). Just give the man some quick-time events and I know he could even take out the mightiest of the mighty.

Adam Warlock with the Infinity Gauntlet. He gave it up almost immediately. Phoenix. Whenever she starts using the godlike powers like time travel, the writer finds an excuse to kill her off.

The Silver Surfer is the most powerful superhero ever: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silver_surfer http://marvel.com/universe/Silver_Surfer So lets get this straight. He has superhuman strength, stamina, duability and can manipulate TIME AND SPACE. He stays alive by converting matter directly to energy and can you know see into the future. He's like Dr. Manhattan meets Superman combined with the strength of the Hulk and the intelligence of Ozymandias. Goku doesn't have shit on the silver surfer. Did I mention he can travel through time? He's like his own hyperbolic time chamber, but literally infinitely better. The Hulk is weak to sound, Superman has cryptonite. You know what weakness the silver surfer has? No? That's right because he doesn't have one. Please. SS is not the most powerful superhero ever, Captain Atom can stomp on him any given day.

Living Tribunal Eternity The Celestials The Beyonder (in his original incarnation, pre "nerf") As for my favourites: Nightcrawler, Wolverine, Batman, Hulk, and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. EDIT: If we're talking more standard superheroes, Hulk is right up there in terms of strength and power(s); but Superman probably takes the cake, as I've heard his writing team refer to him as having the power to tear apart a solar system. He still doesn't hold a candle to the less common characters I mentioned above, though. As for the "straight up fight" aspect of your question, the aforementioned heroes could literally make any other hero simply cease to exist. Wheeeee!

Avatar of Stan Lee, imo. The power to retcon anything and everything.

1) The original Flash (Barry Allen) had the power to travel back in time by vibrating his molecules at such an insane speed. 2) Theoretically, Hulk and GLs powers are unlimited. The madder the Hulk gets, the more powerful he is. GLs power is based after his will. 3) Goku. That is all.

A better question is who is the best superhero that isnt superman. kryptonite > superman. weak if you ask me. Green Lantern actually has very limited/unexploitable weaknesses. FFS, he can make a kryptonite hammer. Edit: God

Edit: God Depends on the green lantern, I think Hal Jordan being able to bypass his ring's overrides and kill Krona make him probably the most powerful of them. Though dual rings would be better, Red/Green or Green/Blue might be best.

Edit: God Flash would walk up to him and take his ring without Green Lantern even knowing what happened. You can't deal with light-speed travel. Too OP.
