Creation - Superman Prime is able to create lifeforms out of nothing. Resurrection - Superman Prime can resurrect the dead. Omniscience - Superman Prime has possibly learned everything in his time in the sun. Omnipotence - Superman prime has near limitless abilties as far as we can see. Omnipresent - Superman Prime can be any where at any time. All Kryptonian powers under a Yellow Sun. All of his Kryptonian powers are enhanced. Godlike Super strength - His strength is limitless, he is capable of lifting the Omniverse. Godlike Super speed - His speed is incomprehensible to even the abstract beings. Godlike Super Senses Godlike Xray vision - He can see through any solid object, with no exceptions. Godlike Heat vision - A million times hotter than the center of the sun. Godlike Super Stamina/Endurance - Capable of surviving the end of the Multiverse. Godlike Invulnerability - Capable of surviving the end of the Multiverse. Godlike Super Hearing - Cosmic Awareness. Immortality - Superman Prime, will live until the end of Reality. " ~http://superman.wikia.com/wiki/Superman_Prime It's not even a question as to who is the best. The answer is Superman Prime, as he is defined as being the best (besides The Presence, which I don't think is really applicable here, but that's up for debate). Honorable mentions: The Flash and Silver Surfer.

Dr. Manhattan is the strongest, though. Well maybe not the strongest in physical strength, but he can kill anyone and everyone he wants to at a mere whim. And, he probably could become the strongest physically, just because he's fucking Dr. Manhattan. He's as close to a god as rationally possible (and by "rationally possible," I mean he isn't truly omnipotent in the fact that he can't create a rock so big he can't move it; yada yada paradoxes). Not only can he dismantle someone into individual molecules, but the only way to "kill" him is putting him into an "Intrinsic Field Subtractor." Even then, he'll just reassemble himself. Really can't fathom how anyone could beat Dr. Manhattan.

Besides, He's "died" more times than most, (even total incineration) just to pop back up happy to still talk in yellow speech bubbles.

He's a beast in his natural form, but the few forces that can defeat him in his natural form... he makes up for that disadvantage with his rediculous knowledge. It's been stated quite a few times (by characters other than himself) that the only reason he has lost in the past is because he allowed it to happen. There's a reason that he's been in so many encounters where the most powerful forces had to team up together to try to stop him. There's a reason that when theres a new super powerful villain that they don't think they will be able to stop, they go to Thanos as the anti hero knowing that they are going to be screwed in the end but that's their only choice. I can't think of any character that has been in more high-scale conflicts than Thanos. He's been the most consistent villain/anti hero since the 90's, been involved in the most major story arcs, and even up to today he's still dominant. Anyone who says chars like Superman Prime are the strongest must not be aware of the strongest forces/entities in the Marvel universe, and missed the multiple times that Thanos took them all out at once. He's actually been just as if not more powerful than a god a number of times. Superman Prime never actually *was* reality itself. Thanos was that and more, numerous times.
