And as much as I love it, there is nothing like cruising at night with you girl while listening to Liquid Dubstep a.k.a LiquidStep.
sorry to inform you but there is no genre known as liquid dubstep, you cant take part of a genre known as liquid drum n bass and throw it into another genre

So many songs here I desperately need on my ipod.
The mixes I posted in the OP all have download links. Click on the Video and check the description. Their should be a download link.
What qualifies a song as 'Liquid'? I've seen the term applied to dubstep, drum 'n' bass, even metal. It seems to all share a similar chill vibe, is this right on the money or is there more to it?

Getting all those nice songs off youtube is really a bitch, and they're not on itunes.
Anyone know of a site where I can find the majority of those for either playing or download? My only problem with new dubstep genres is how the artists don't make albums =(

There is this sick website called sounlogik.com that i get most of my music from. They cover all electronic music and provides them with downloads so i feel like a hipster whenever my friends come over :p

I'd pretty much classify it using the same tempo/beat (same characteristics per se) as dubstep/dnb but less emphasis on the distorted sounds and more emphasis on melody and soul.
I recently was getting into dubstep, but for me something was missing. Liquid Dubstep fills everything I consciously and unconsciously wanted out of it! Ty ty

you might want to check out phaeleh's fallen light album, both of the burial albums and scuba's triangulation and mutual antipathy album. could go on for years.
and there is no such thing as a new dubstep genre. apparently most people are only familiar with shitty "brostep" and miss the more laid back side.

Nobody ever said its new. Simply that its called Liquid Dubstep. Some people call it LiquidStep, others Chillstep. It means that this thread is gonna focus on the tuneful, melodic, more vocal, dubstep, without the grime and filth.
I seriously don't know why people are coming in here thinking their all high and mighty saying how this isn't a genre blah blah blah. Seriously, nobody cares. Were just here because we want to here this type of music, and we don't care what its called. And I think the 6 pages of content is suffice to prove that many people 1) Didn't know this type of music existed 2) Didn't know their was so much of it out their.
