There's a difference between respectfully bowing out and hurling expletives before quitting. Don't sign up for a game if you can't play it. ...I understand the difference, but I disagree with the end of your post. Sometimes things come up. I signed up for WaW2 knowing I'd have time to play, but something IMPORTANT to me came up. Not an emergency or anything of the like. Hell, I don't even think half of you would agree its important at all, but it was important to me. I didn't expect it, but it severely prevented me from being able to play the game the way I should of been playing.

You are talking about something out of the game affecting your ability to play the game. You had legit personal reasons for being less active in WaW2, and I don't think anyone faults you for that. I just hope things went down well for you What flamewheel is discussing is people leaving games because of in-game reasons. Bad play, bad luck or just general anger towards other players. Now, I do fully sympathize with people who rage, but they need to be able to stay focused on the game by withdrawing themselves for a while. Just stand up, go do something else, come back in 12 hours and start again. Replacing out should be a last resort.

Replacements are fine and dandy when someone has to leave due to a real life [emergency] situation.

Darmousseh although modkilled gave me close to 48 hours full notice of his state of inactivity with issues beyond his control as such no warning or ban for him.

Double warning isn't a specific punishment. The only double warning we have is the result of 2 separate incidents from 2 separate games, neither of which was deemed banworthy and which were not related to each other (not telling the host about necessary inactivity + flaming). Unless this circumstance is extremely special, I would rather you stick to either asking for a warning or a ban.

Because of how shitty I acted last time, I don't think that I could make a compelling argument as to why I deserve a second chance, but I'd like to play with some of the great players here on TL (a site which I frequent daily) rather than mafiascum.net. I hope you'll have me back, but I understand completely if that isn't possible. Cheers! Z

I took the game in which I was banned a bit too seriously, and was frustrated by posts towards me that were non-personal and merely a part of the mafia meta-game. I hope you'll have me back, but I understand completely if that isn't possible. Cheers! Z I went through the old posts of his to try and get some context of what exactly happened: (Note that chaoser was cohost and igrok was the host of the game in question - these posts came from ~page 75 of this thread) On May 06 2011 13:18 chaoser wrote: Ok, so basically what happened is that Zorkmid rage quit from the game cause sandroba (who is mafia) tunneled/put a lot of pressure on him. He just said "/out" in the thread and didn't even PM me or iGrok. I PMed him and asked him if he wanted a replacement or what? And he's like yeah, and after a few exchanges he said TL Mafia wasn't for him He then signed up for Node's XXXIX game a day after his rage quit and proclaimed leave for MS. When I, and a few other players, pointed out that it's kinda fucked up that he left one game and went to sign up for another he says he'll out and asked a TL admin to revoke his right to view the mafia forum and said he was 100% going to MS. At this point bum had replaced Zorkmid in the Sleeper game and Zorkmid contacted bum and basically said/slipped that sandroba was mafia and tried to pressure bum to use his DT check on him that night when bum stated that he was going to check Jackal. Zorkmid then signed up for Node's game AGAIN and posted in the Sleeper Cell Thread that bum wasn't the CL and hinted that Ace was lying and he was the Cell Leader. At this point I PM-ed him to edit and stop posting in the game thread and his excuse was "I didn't know I couldn't say stuff after I left the game" even though if he had an ounce of common sense he should have known this, especially since he knew the roles. I proceed to ask Hot_Bid to ban him to prevent him from ruining the game any further. On May 06 2011 16:42 iGrok wrote: I can vouch that this is true. The original post was only a quote from someone else, which is why I did not instantly demand a ban for him. He then went back and started talking about the CL bullshit. I would like t orequest a permanent ban for him, for all the bullshit he's caused lately, intentionally ruining games & his attitude in general. On May 10 2011 00:11 Qatol wrote: Zorkmid Thanks to chaoser for summarizing what happened in Sleeper Cell. The only thing I would like to add is that he was warned to be on his best behavior for RoL's experiment game, but he still pulled this. Regardless, he's on the semi-permanent list for now, but if he wants to come back, he can post here and we can discuss what to do then. Because you are now asking to be reinstated, Zorkmid, I would like to hear your side of things beyond just being mad. I mean, you were far enough out of line that a host asked a TL mod to ban you so you would go away. And that ban happened during RoL's experiment game, which had super strict activity/posting requirements because he had a school grade on the line. I think it is pretty safe to say you have at least a 1 game ban stemming from that, so I am reluctant to take you off the list until after GMarshal's game at the very least. However, I will credit it towards whatever punishment we deem is fair, assuming we don't decide a continued permaban is appropriate. As things stand now, I'm inclined to say you should wait until November (which is ~6 months from the original incident) before we start talking about rejoining the forum. You burned a lot of bridges with the way you left and I want to give the forum a longer time to cool off. However, I reserve the right to change my mind based on what you have to say about yourself.
