According to http://forums.majorleaguegaming.com/topic/243287-mlg-raleigh-weather/ Cat 2 Hurricane Irene may arrive at Carolina over the weekend.
While MLG is held mostly indoor (I hope), those who are planning to travel to Raleigh may want to make contingency travel plans as well as prepare themselves for possible heavy rainfall.
I pray for the stability of the MLG streams for home-viewers and barcraft participants!
A related question: a friend of mine is planning to attend the live event for the first time. Any MLG veterans have tips as to what he should bring along? (ie snacks/drinks/folding chair/spare socks)

There is a chance in which the Hurricane may hit Cat 3.
Bring a change of cloths and raincoats (not umbrellas)

raleigh is pretty far inland, so if the hurricane does hit the state its usually not too bad in that area.

not to say that it cant happen... but chances are its pretty low.
