While MLG is held mostly indoor (I hope), those who are planning to travel to Raleigh may want to make contingency travel plans as well as prepare themselves for possible heavy rainfall. I pray for the stability of the MLG streams for home-viewers and barcraft participants! A related question: a friend of mine is planning to attend the live event for the first time. Any MLG veterans have tips as to what he should bring along? (ie snacks/drinks/folding chair/spare socks) (sorry for misleading title :p) Could you change the title? I was really hoping to read about what people had to say regarding the safety of being out there amidst the hurricane but all I'm reading are these stupid posts about the title.

As for the forecast, I hope it doesn't affect the event too much. MLG is still using those satellite trucks right? They're bound to be in the firing line if the storm hits the city.

FL) I just want to say that you need to take this very seriously. This storm is blowing up like I haven't seen in a while, and it is going to very strong in the next 24 hours. If you're going to be in the SE USA you need to pay very close attention to this. Florida hasnt had a serious hurricane since hurricane charlie back in 04. I live in central florida so I don't have it as bad as you that lives in s fl.

Under what conditions would it be ok to still go to South Carolina on the 26th-28th?

Yeah I'm actually pretty mad about this being someone who is planning on travelling to Raleigh and is concerned about the storm.
