3 big storylines of the match:
-The 4 Terran line-up that's all being coached by Ample in MonstarZ University. Many MonstarZ fans have been questioning Calm's leadership decisions after the defeat of MonstarZ in K-Jungman Ro.8, one of which is keeping Ample as Terran coach and giving him 4 students to juggle. Can Ample handle it? All eyes are on Jidoodoo due to her recent horrendous Terran performance in recent months; it just seems like she can't win a game nowadays, and just recently she lost to a bunch of 4-pool TvZs in a row. Now, her opponent Yoning is known to be weak early game, so maybe Jidoodoo might try something aggressive, but if Yoning succeeds with another 4-pool today and MonstarZ loses, we might potentially see at least one Terran student expulsion.
-Alisongi has been improving her PvZ and just recently in the SojuyangCK, even Jaedong praised her fantastic Corsair/DT play combined with Shuttle drop. This may be a turning point for Alisongi's PvZ match-up, and hopefully she can prove herself against PingPing, the hardest working Tier 6 Zerg grinding right now for Tier 5.
-The Tier 6 ZvZ: lower-tier ZvZ do not revolve against Muta micro battle. We might see Hive, or we might even see Hydra vs Hydra. Women's ZvZ meta is always fun to watch.
EDIT: Also to note that SoulKey is a Zerg coach in MonstarZ and soO is a Zerg coach in Dreams. SoulKey said he was practicing for the upcoming ASL finals, but he also did say he would be helping out for this event in some way. Take that for what it's worth.

Fantastic Preview Article with Data on Fmkorea:
- Summary: Almost 50/50, but within the margin of error, the Dreams have a 3% advantage.
common context
Dreams: We played three matches in Daejeon alone in October, so our game sense is still sharp. However, Minji, Pingping, Orikkung, and Juseori all lost in the last JSA university match. Kammon: There have been no matches for 40 days since the K-Jungman Cup on September 4th. Instead, we have 118 matches. The "College Stage" below is a combined record of the College League, College Matches, and Mini Matches.
Match 1 Yoning vs Jidudu · Attitude · 🔴 Yoning 52%
College stage race matchups: Yonning's Terran matchup 38% (29 games), Jidudu's Zerg matchup 40% (25 games). For both, this matchup is a weakness in team matches. Yonning: I have plenty of experience with a total of 43 college games. However, since transferring to the Dreams, I have a record of 1 win and 4 losses, and I also suffered 2 losses in the last mini-game against Mabeom University. Jidudu: Recently, I have a record of 1 win and 5 losses against Zerg, and 4 wins and 9 losses against Attitude Zerg. Key Point: This is the opening match where the initiative is at stake. It is a battle to see whether the nemesis relationship (31 wins, 19 losses) continues or if Jidudu's slump continues. Match 2 Minji vs Haetsal · Radeon · 🔴 Minji 54%
College stage race matchups: Minji's Terran matchup 58% (19 games), Haetsal's Zerg matchup 46% (61 games). Sunshine: The college league is decent at 57%, but the college vs. college match rate is only 29% (9 wins, 22 losses). They are weak in single-game matches. Minji: I was with Cammon until early September. We played on the same team, so we know each other well. Variable: In official head-to-head matches, Minji trails with 4 wins and 9 losses. In Radeon head-to-head matches, it is a close 12 wins and 13 losses. Match 3 Ju Seori vs So Ju Yang · Knockout · 🔵 So Ju Yang 53%
College stage race matchups: Ju Seori's Terran match rate 44% (34 games), So Juyang's Protoss match rate 58% (57 games). Soju-yang: With 59% in college matches and 60% as a member of Cammon, I have a temperament suited for team matches. Ju Seori: My win rate is 31% in College Matches and 39% in Mini Matches. Recently, I also suffered consecutive losses against 2rani and Choi Sesang in Team Matches. Point: It's not Radeon, who had a 10-3 head-to-head record, but a knockout. The game is tilting in Cammon's favor. Match 4 Pingping vs Arisongi · Radeon · 🔵 Arisongi 54%
College stage race matchups: Pingping's Protoss matchup 72% (36 games), Arisong's Zerg matchup 65% (17 games). For both, this matchup is their main weapon in team matches. Looking only at the mini-matches: Pingping has a 76% win rate against Protoss and Arisong has an 80% win rate against Zerg, making it a match between strong team players. Flow: Arisong is on a 10-game winning streak against opponents of the same tier or higher. Pingping's recent 3 wins and 7 losses are all against Terran, so they are irrelevant to this match. Point: Looking only at the college record, Pingping is slightly ahead. The key is whether Arisong's momentum can overcome this, so it is actually a much closer match than the 54% vote suggests. Match 5 Hyojjang vs. Vitaming · Knockout · 🔴 Hyojjang 56%
College stage race matchups: Hyojjang's Terran matchup 50% (24 games), Vitaming's Protoss matchup 52% (21 games). Vitaming becomes much stronger in team matches than Spawn (39.6%). Official head-to-head: Vitaming has a 6-2 record and has defeated Hyojjang well in team matches. Reason why he is still Hyo-jjang: Vitamin's knockout record against Protoss is 21 wins and 40 losses, his win rate against Protoss this year is 36.5%, and his recent record against Protoss is 3 wins and 7 losses. Point: Sponsor data favors Hyojjang, while team match data favors Vitamin. He is the Dreams' best card, but don't let your guard down. Match 6 Origung vs Meonjin · Attitude · 🔴 Origung 51%
College matchups against Zerg: Origgoong 62% (16 games), Meonjin 50% (24 games). Origgoong's career win rate in college matches is 67%. Head-to-head: In the university league, Orikkung has a 3-0 record, while in sponsorship, Meonjin has a 6-3 record. Orikkung was strong in team matches. Meonjin: Attitude is 6 wins and 1 loss against Zerg, and 53.5% against Zerg this year. Key point: Since it is a Zerg mirror match, the outcome will be decided in the early build order battle. This is the final match that will determine whether it ends 4-2 or goes to a 3-3 pinball.
- The matchup is 2-2. Dreams has Minji and Hyojjang, while Cammon has Sojuyang and Arisong. The turning point is the two Attitude rounds (Games 1 and 6). If Dreams win both, they lead 4-2; if they split them, the match is decided 3-3 in Pinball.

Very extensive coverage. Thank you.
I guess many are not interested in anything outside top tier pros. But you also don't have to always watch these college battles. Just give it a look here and there. Some games are really hilarious, or very good in their own ways.

i never understood the appeal of SC uni until i watched grubby and hera's streamer invitational... i imagine its the same thing with big streamers playing/learning your favorite game
