Stay safe everyone!

From the storm path maps I looked at today. It looks like the outer edge of the storm is right on Raleigh. =/ Was planning on going, but gonna have to decide tomorrow morning now i guess.

I would say come. Based on what I am seeing Raleigh will get 1-2 inches of Rain and some wind.
New England will probably get it much worse.

If the hurricane brushes more then the edges of itself against or even near the event don't expect an event. Unless they bring generators of a massive scale. Honestly I am surprised the event is still even on and not just postponed a week with a major hurricane having a possibility of hitting.
This is why they need to hold these events in oh I dunno.. my neck of the woods, we've been hurricane and natural disaster free for six years.

I wish they would hold one in the pacific northwest. Seattle would be a great option. I'd actually go, and no threat of hurricanes! Unless we have a major earth quake, or Mount Rainier blows, we're good.
That said, everyone stay safe if you are going to Raleigh. Hopefully it moves a bit north or south of that area, and hopefully wherever it does make land fall the damage and loss of life are at a minimum (zero would be awesome).

Every single MLG, something insanely crazy that is completely out of MLG's control will come through and destroy the viewer experience. Well not this time, damn it. I will watch MLG, even if its down. I will load up my MLG Dallas 2010 replays, and I will fucking watch them, and cheer, and eat my mini pizza bagels, and I will have fun.
This guy gets it

Can anyone at Raleigh give an update for just how bad the weather is there or how much it's going to affect the event? I'm sure a lot of people from around the world would really like to know.

Anna jokingly tweeted, mainly implying that it was sunny and no rain this morning.

So from what I am reading, thousands of people are being evacuated from the east coast due to the hurricane and alot of flights have been cancelled too. Should be an interesting MLG.

Current weather in Raleigh is awesome. Gorgeous day. Biggest complaint is 90 degree heat.
60% chance of rain Friday night with 12 MPH winds.
Saturday (when the hurricane hits WAY east) there is 50% chance of rain and I have seen some say 30 and some say 40 MPH winds. That is very windy by Raleigh standards, (It turns out Raleigh is usually one of the least windy cities in the world) but not THAT bad.
Basically, I would not plan to be on the road Saturday night, but if you can get in tonight and have a place to stay Saturday then you should be fine.
If it does rain I am still seeing 1-2 inches expected.
