Anybody else playing Civ 7? I just got into it yesterday and, despite a few oft-reported UI/UX hiccups, I'm having a lot of fun with it. I think it's going to be one of the best installments in the series once the mods and updates start accreting.
The commander system for combat feels really nice. Units are cheaper in terms of production than in Civ VI, so you can do a little more 'macro' type play where you send streams of reinforcements to your commanders in the field.
Eliminating builders and allowing you to manually grow your city boundaries is excellent.
Foreign relations feels pretty smooth so far compared to past Civ games.
The crisis/era transition was really shocking the first time around, but once I get the hang of the rhythm of it, I think it'll be a fun framework within which to make decisions.

for sure i'll play it but probably gonna wait for a sale since i already have enough games on my plate.
But from the footage i seen, it seem pretty good. Didn't saw a big war yet tough.

I'm a huge Civ fan, but couldn't justify the founders pack price, especially considering the issues I've seen. Looking forward to playing on the 11th

Looking at the early Steam reviews, I'm probably going to let it sit for a short while before making any decision. Unmodded Civ 6 already had a lot of frustrations with UI and presenting information, looks like Civ 7 could be even worse in some aspects.

Bought civ 3 through 6 first day, easily my most played franchise, but will be skipping civ 7 entirely. Game design such as no citizen micromangement and forced age transitions make it unplayable for me. Obviously they will not be changing those things since they are considered the cornerstones of the game.
On top of that, the UI is so bad I dont even understand how they can look at themselves in the mirror and release the game like this? Civ 3 UI was better on release lmao.
I guess it's accepted now to release unfinished games and just sell dlc later but I'm still one that hold onto having pride in the final product you make.
Its unfortunate that the franchise is no longer made for me but I accept it. Hope those of you that do like the game keep on civving!

The UI kind of sucks. I'm not entirely sold on the new city expansion system, but it's way better than Civ6's districts. The "independent people" thing is a great way update the barbarians/city state thing, but the interactions are hard to find on the UI and I'm not sure about balance.
Not super-happy about hardening the boundaries between ages, and forcing civ changes is a mistake (I'd be happier if it was changing leaders, but even that would be a major change).
Very pretty game. Overpriced though especially if you get all the goodies (I couldn't resist).
