My core components, my hardware is really powerful but I'd like my case and other peripherals to be flashy I wish I could afford a new monitor, but a new case/cooler and keyboard will do for now.The quickfire rapids are actually same exact build quality as filco TKL keyboards right now as they are both manufactured by costar. I have a quickfire stealth(rapid with side printed keycaps) and a filco TKL and the case is exactly the same, the stabilizers are the same and the quickfire actually came with the stabilizers lubed which made them REALLY smooth. the cmstorm quickfire rapid/stealth line is basically a filco TKL with the logo changed. Not sure about the quickfire TK as I had one with red switches and the build quality seemed significantly worse even if it was indeed also made by costar. Even one of the keys was just saudered in crooked, the q was a few degrees rotated rofl.

Now I'm looking to buy a cherry g80-3000 blue switch and swap the A and Z keycaps. It only costs 56 euros. Would this be smart? In their documentation, Cherry mentions all European languages for the G80-3000, I'm pretty sure. But I don't know where you'd get it. If you want to swap the keys, they are not the same. The different rows on the keyboard have differently shaped keys. The asdf keys are lower than qwert... It will be a bit ugly.

What do you think? Thanks.

Next items on my hitlist are a new case (Looking at buying a custom made acrylic case as part of a group buy) and I am going to buy some thick PBT keycaps from Ducky when they release them in UK layout Post this please when you finish it up. I got my white filco + blank whites as well in the mail. The filco is slightly beige though and I'm not sure if it will go well with bright white caps. Btw, does anyone play starcraft with a poker or other 60% board. I love the compact for factor except you lose all your function/camera hotkeys...

You can rehotkey camera keys to other keys so it would be fine, but most pro players are used to having fkeys so i doubt any would use one. If you like it and are willing to rehotkey things I see no reason why you couldn't use that though.

I just don't know the best options for where i can relocate which the f keys, it gets way to cramped. Hoping someone who doesn't use f keys could let me know how they accommodate.

ZOWIE CELERITAS or steelseries 6gv2 red I am planning to use this for Starcraft 2. I have heard the steelseries is hard to get used to but these things are not the problem If anyone can put their opinion or it would be even better if someone had both and tell me which is better, that would be great. Thanks

Thanks Zowie Celeritas has a lot more complaints but definitely higher quality than 6GV2.

Now that I have blues and reds i'm worried at how long it'll take for me to get another board with a different switch xD Hey, I was wondering what you think about red vs blue switches. I currently own a Ducky Shine II red-switch keyboard, and I was interested in buying a tenkeyless Leopold with blues. How do the keys compare, in your opinion?

So maybe have a look at some reviews for the irocks. $50 is pretty hard to beat in Aus, but if you can make the budget stretch to $79 and wait two weeks you can get a Ducky Zero in blue or black switches from PCCG. The Ducky is solid and a good buy, no idea about the Mwave. edit: Apparently someone on Whirlpool thought it looked solid on display. Take that with a grain of salt, but if you can go see it and have a play with it its definitely worth it.

I'd assume it would be of serviceable quality, although I'd always recommend not buying black-switch mechanical keyboards (myself and many others regard them as having the worst feel of the Cherry switches). That being said, they're still much better than a rubber-dome keyboard, and that keyboard in particular is much cheaper than anything else you'll find in Australia. It also depends where you live: if you're situated in Melbourne, or just Victoria in general, I'd recommend checking out http://www.pccasegear.com, they have a much broader range of mechanical keyboards (and shipping will obviously be cheaper if you live in that state). If I've swayed you from getting a black-switch keyboard, try going for a brown-switch keyboard, they're probably the safest bet for your first mechanical keyboard. I'd definitely recommend saving a bit more money and buying a keyboard with different switches, but if you absolutely want to spend as little money as possible, you won't be able to find any mechanical keyboard cheaper than the Mwave one. Hope this helps!

I wish I could afford a new monitor, but a new case/cooler and keyboard will do for now.
