Absolutely not. I can't really recommend keyboards to you since I don't know ALL the retailers that are available to people who live in Portugal. Living outside the US when it comes to mechanical keyboards is always a little tricky.
Some people say its a rebrand of an older keyboard that had a lot of faulty problems. But from what a lot of people who actually own the keyboard says, Max redid a lot of the interior and only kept the outside casing.
I think its a pretty good backlit full size keyboard if that's what you're looking for. It has costar stabilizers so the bigger keys dont feel as mushy. But then again, so do cooler master keyboards and I think people think more highly of those.
I think if you can get it with the group buy (like 20% cheaper i think), then its one to really consider.
Hi guys. I'm looking for a keyboard that is tenkeyless, mx brown, nordic layout & cheaper than the Filco Majestouch 2 (it's £114 + shipping, a bit more than I'm willing to pay). I was thinking of buying a WASD keyboard but shipping + double VAT makes it even more expensive than the Filco. The QFR is supposed to be available in browns, but apparently not for the nordic layout.

Yeah i don't think there's a lot of TKL nordic layout keyboards out there, in fact the filco is the only one i know of. Are there any leopold's out there with a nordic layout?

I don't think so?
I'm considering switching to ANSI if I can somehow puzzle ÅÄÖ in there...
Wanted to point out that if you wanted a Filco, The Keyboard Company are doing a giveaway of one. I won't link as I don't want to dinged for advertising

Haha, one in a million chance that that's going to work but might be worth a try. Typing on a filco sure is sweet bliss...

just buy a filco, even tho its expensive its the best keyboard ive owned so far. Definitely worth my money.
Does anyone know about any keyboards with cherry mx clears besides the deck? I like cherry mx blues, but I don't think I can have them in an office environment without annoying my coworkers. I have tried cherry mx browns, but they feel too light to me , so I was thinking the clears might be what I'm after. I don't want the deck because it looks odd and unprofessional.
It is simply one of, if not the best backlit mechanical keyboard out there in the market. Their backlighting is brilliant, I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed if your a backlit enthusiast. Here's a pretty good video demonstrating some of the things you can do with it.

There were some leopolds produced with clears, but I think they got snapped up pretty quick. You could try get one second hand. I think Cherry might have made a few clear switches keyboards, but Cherrys are mostly in Europe so might be too expensive in the US. Otherwise the only other option I know of is to mod your own.

I love my Ducky Shine II :D
I'm curious, to everyone who owns a Ducky Shine II. What do you think about the whole cherry vs costar stabilizer debate? Do you really notice a difference when using the bigger keys (enter, shift, etc).
Or is it such a small difference you don't care because the rest of the board is amazing.
Since I'm babysitting and can't really go anywhere or watch any streams (because she needs to do her goddamn homework), I've decided to do something boring looking, and that's type up a wall of text about a piece of equipment. I was too lazy to inline the images, so I put them in an imgur album: Album
The Leopold FC700RT: Overview My latest purchase is the Leopold FC700RT, the newest offering from Leopold and a nice option for Australians, Some asian countries, and for me, people with Korean friends (Much <3 to Jpak) It'll probably be on the international market within a year or two, as they've stopped producing the FC200r, and I have little doubt Elitekeyboards will pick it up when it's ready for international sale.
It's a Tenkeyless board with an elegant, simple style and some nonstandard features unique to Leopold. It is, to my knowledge, the only stock PBT keycap board running at the moment, nearly every one to my knowledge is ABS, and PBT keycaps are usually bought separately and added to keyboards. They're (debatably) more durable than their ABS counterparts, and are said to get shiny at a slower rate.
It has FN-triggered media features, as well as a windows key lock for those who play video games that lack the in-game feature to disable them. It also comes with Leopold's unique 20-ish key rollover (There is no mention or advertisement of this feature, but both the FC200R and FC700R models have this) as well as the standard N-key rollover over PS/2. between the two, ghosting when gaming is a complete non-issue.
The Good The aesthetics of all three models are wonderful, though I own the white one. It's one of the only n-key rollover, minimalist, tenkeyless models out there with a pure white coloring. All of its contemporaries are an off-white/beige, such as the FC-200r and Filco Majestouch. The charcoal and Black ones also have wonderful aesthetics, but you have a few more options in those colors (such as Filco and CoolerMaster). The sharp cornering is even sharper looking than the Filco, and it has a curved wedge side-profile that's visually pleasing and ergonomic. In their biggest ripoff of Filco to date, it even comes with a stick on Leopold Logo, which on the on-site images and my own keyboard, are put in the same position as the Filco logo on the Majestouch tenkeyless models.
The PBT keycaps are both wonderful and unique. They come with a silky texturing on the top that's unique to the FC700R and it feels wonderful. The printing on them is a dark grey, keeping them visible but unintrusive. The keycaps are extra thick, .3mm thicker than the more standard Das and older Leopold keycaps. This sounds like very little, but when I swapped some Das keyboard keycaps, there was a very noticable difference in sound. These keycaps bottom out with a more bassy thunk rather than the more trebly clack of more standard caps. It's subtle, but noticable.
Another nice feature is the detachable cable, which comes with routing to either side or straight forward from the port, allowing you to make the cable head in the direction of the computer rather than straight out the back. It also comes with grips on its feet, an improvement from the previous model. The board stays perfectly still both flat and elevated.
In an improvement from the FC700r, the leds in the keys are no longer eye destroyingly bright, and that's a huge plus for someone as light sensitive as I am. The plate mounting is quite substantial, and the case is light. The case is also made of PBT, contrary to my initial thoughts, and feels nice in your hands. The board comes with Cherry stabilizers, rather than the costar ones standard on most boards. It's a matter of taste, and the primary difference in feel comes when you bottom them out hard. The ones I got however, are covered in the next section.
On a more technical end, the soldering job is quite a ways better than the FC200r's. I have pictures of the 700r soldering, but since I personally modded the 200r, you'll have to take my word for it that the soldering job is of a lower quality. It also comes with a much nicer looking black solder-mask and an interesting trace style that I've never seen before.
The Bad My biggest gripe is that while Leopold's 20 key rollover setup is nice, it bugs out occasionally. It's not a frequent occourence (it happened to me only once so far), but since it seems to be the same software as the FC200r, you can expect a bugout once every month or two. It's fixed by unplugging and replugging in the board, but it's not something you want in a keyboard that you drop 110 bucks on.
The Cherry stabilizers I recieved did not feel right, this is noticable because my previous board also had cherry stabilizers, and I did not have to do anything to those. I had to lube some of the stabilizers on this board with white lithium grease to get them to feel okay, however, they still don't feel right yet. I still need to work on them.
The Ugly They're not ready for the international market, sadly, and it may be upwards of a year before it's easily accessible in the states and Europe. Hopefully a distributor picks them up soon, such as Elitekeyboards, for the masses.
--- Overall, I'm quite pleased with the purchase. only one major gripe that I can't do anything about, and everything else is gorgeous. I'd give it a 9/10 if I had to rate it in some way.
I just got my shipment for the CM Storm QFR Browns today. If you can't tell already, I love CM Storm. Although I can say that for some reason the browns just feel terrible. There's very little tactile feedback. Never thought I'd be writing a negative review, but anyways now I'm definitely getting the Ducky Shine II after you guys brought it up lol. I'm getting it in browns or blues, and the question is, what LED color should I get? :O
