Probably because it was quite balanced. It allowed a lot of different play-styles (Protoss and Terran could both either apply early pressure or early expand safely, Zerg could either macro up or try to prevent the third) and promoted multi-tasking (multi-pronged drops for example were quite powerful). It also had a sizable defender's advantage, meaning falling behind didn't spell instant death. Plus we saw some of the greatest games of all time on it because although there were plenty of expansions, later ones forced you to be quite spread out, opening up harassment opportunities or to expand towards your opponent, forcing constant conflict. Definitely the best map we've had in SC2 so far.

IMO its actually the one allin i dont mind facing vs toss. ez to scout, and really only one stop to worry about your front so a couple bunkers and repairs and once you get meds is over. i actually find my self smiling when i see a immortal allins. obv i haven't stopped every single one but again IMO ez to hold. and if were talking about ohana its even better they have to go up a ramp, say on overgrowth then a little harder.

The only attack path will probably end up being a problem in some circumstances but overall I'm pretty sure this would make a solid map. I voted for Shakuras Plateau as well...

I imagine if you open with a Nexus/Gate or Gate/Nexus then you can hit with a similar (if not faster) timing-attack. Hydralisks are not the answer to Soul Train builds unless the Protoss opens 3/4 Gate pressure -> Soul Train. Is that on 4 gas? That sounds ridiculous fast opening with the least greedy opener! Got a BO/VOD or replay for that version I could look at? ![]()

I was going to post a VOD from a clan war were I used it to beat a GM Zerg on Overgrowth, but the Twitch channel doesn't have VODs saved T_T Ah that's annoying. A replay would be awesome if you can find any! :-]

It was hard enough in WoL to take it after infestors were out... Also I used to Raventurtle in WoL on it. Dont want to play against guaranteed 5base Mech with only 5bases on my own.

I second this. We need a centralized location of the overall list, and there's no reason it can't be the place where all the discussion has already been happening. As far as my preferences, I'm still (desperately but probably futilely) hoping for Neo Planet S...
