Well I guess their opponents can't be blamed lol. Do what you gotta do to win.
all koreans besides tails lost in the bo3 stage, only round 1-3 are bo1, ro128 till finals is bo3.
was a victim of round 3 bo1 pvp as well like so many others, wished i wouldve gone a little further :/ cant play today sadly .D
You still get credit for throwing your hat into the ring, which is more than the majority of us can say.
Frankly, following the qualifiers is almost more fun than following Code S. There is something compelling about qualifiers for your region(even though EU isn’t mine) and speculating what who will make it through.

Yeah I feel that way to and the Challenger and Premier Leagues will be awesome too. Also, the fact that korean "invaders" are trying to qualify is making the thing even more great, and in premier League we ll have Mvp MMA ForGG... really looking forward to it !
This is the part that seems crazy to me: Qualifier league info: The WCS America Qualifying tournament on April 20 and 21 will feature 512 players competing online in a, BO3, double elimination bracket. That is SO many games. SO many with double elimination. Still, hopefully the best make it through(DeMusliM).
After that, code A for EU and NA will be awesome to watch too. Really, there is nothing not to like.

Hardly, i'd give these Euros a good chance of beating that particular Korean lineup at a lan as well. Not saying lag didn't play a part, but it's not like these players are unbeatable.

This evening he will have the top seed in a 8 rounds bracket though.
so is this similar to TSL where you can get points towards qualifying based on performance, not just winning the qualifier?
I really want XiGua to qualify. Chinese SC2 scene deserves more representation, and blizzard absolutely dropped the ball on it this year.
No no he didn't get any point but got the best seed (along with Feast) for the next Premier League qualifier, which only features 256 players, which means he has a good shot today. He could face big names who fell early in the bracket yesterday however.
Concerning sc2 chinese scene I really hope Xigua can get through, I wanna see macsed and Jim too, but I don t see them qualifying on NA though.
I thought its also 1000 player bracket again? There are over 1200 signups already.
Its awesome to see all known EU terrans back in the fight. I was really glad being able to follow several Dayshi games towards the end. Especially his game 3 vs the oracle play of feast was an insane hold (ee han timing turret at front) into an insane counterattack.

Tails, finale,Daisy,StarDust aren't THAT good for koreans... They have the level of european players that's why they lost.
First thread i read entirely, and probably the last one.
God people are stupid, you even read?
ESL deserves so much credit, their eu community work is truely amazing and one can only admire. Got no idea why people come here to complain when they obviously barely know anything about the tournaments that are hosted, get real cocaine snorters, lets praise ESL for the qualification efforts and the participating players, I'm sure they do a way better job than any other organization would have done.

I guess it should also be noted that they're all toss. Betcha 5 bucks they all lost in a laggy PvP or a regular PvP.

Finale and Daisy both lost to terrans in a BO3, so nope.

Firstly there's 4 Koreans and over 1000 other competitors with the first 3 rounds been BO1, the odds aren't exactly in their favour. Secondly these are B teamer Koreans at best; Tails has never had any notable achievemets other than been a 1 match team-league sniper, Daisy is just your middle of the road Code B Korean who spent a long time in Europe, StarDust I've never heard of so can't comment. Finale is the only one in there who stands out but is it really inconceivable that any number of the top names in that open bracket can defeat him in a BO3? Even Kaup nearly managed to take him down in the RO64.
Of course no one will deny that lag is an issue, but I think you greatly underestimate the skill of the player pool and the stamina (and at times luck) required to complete an 9 stage single elimination bracket.
It'll be a little more interesting in Season 2 when players at MC's caliber will be competing.
