Will the guy come out whipping stuff up and forcing proper practice and a korean regiment? Wouldn't this be bad for the players who are used to a "more laid back (albeit not overly)" style of training. I personally approve of plenty of whip cracking at EGTL... Its necessary and will make the difference. They already tried "forcing proper practice". http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewpost.php?post_id=17415787 On January 04 2013 05:59 EG.lectR wrote: Those Koreans on EG that you're talking about actually have a very strict practice schedule (much more so than in our NA house). They are not allowed to live in the house unless they commit 8 hours a day to training. They have designated break times, designated practice partner times, designated free play time (i.e. streaming), and do all of this seven days a week. In addition to that, our Korean coach (Trot) tracks the hours they spend practicing and reports those hours to our GM daily. He also evaluates the players every other day with our GM in a personal manner. From reporting about Proleague matches, to discussing roster draws, to informing our management of any additional needs or suggestions from our players, the conversation between our Korea house and our core management is ongoing. So no, I'd say we have quite the practice schedule and that we do "give two shits about winning or losing."

Uh unless I am mistaken they have quiet a few players might not be 20 but close to it. They have quiet a few B teamers that most people don't know about because they aren't good enough to be known.

They may not have as much as their peak in BW but I suspect that they do have at least a dozen or so b teamers to practice and grind out scenarios with. I wonder if EGTL will pick up some b teamers as well.

Simply way more than EG-TL and more than "enough" to mix things up a bit.

Come to think of it, in every single tournament from 1998 onward, there were always 4,5 teams that had better players, depth, synergy, strategy and coaching lol. The overwhelming popularity of the Premier League doesnt mean team England has to be good

I'm pretty sure that EGTL isn't so lacking in practice partners that that's what's making the big difference.

Also, found this edifying: On March 13 2013 23:44 Ketch wrote: quoted from Park: "Also, the way they approach games is a bit different from Koreans, so I would like to analyze that difference and find exactly why Koreans become top-class gamers." Translation: a really nice, kind way of saying "find out what foreigners are doing wrong." It'll be cool to see if he develops a hybrid approach or if he ends up fully going back to the Korean team style of training.

I'd guess practice partners aren't active players anyway? Not that I know anything about it but I'd guess telling HerO to help Jeadong counter an Immortal/Sentry all-in would take away time from HerOs practice, no? Not as much in a single player league like GSL, but in a team league?

Does this mean he'll make JD the designated Ace or they'll stick with a rotation of Taeja/Stephano/Hero/JD

Jaedong has yet to play in an ace for egtl and I don't think stephano has either.
