We'll have to see. Don't get me wrong, Boxer is an amazing guy, but Park does have more coaching experience than Boxer, who was primarily a player for most of his career. Boxer is an icon, but he will have to prove that he can lead SKT to the same heights that he did as a player, but this time as a coach.

Yeah, I really hope Stephano and HuK grow up and learn how to get yelled at. Granted, I don't know the situation, but somehow I don't see them as the type to used to such treatment. Or the kind to take kindly to it

I think this is also historically super-important as it's the first time that a foreign team is having access to Korean top-level management and infrastructure. All the arguments we've been having about Korean advantages is about to be put to the test right in front of us. If EG-TL succeeds then this could mean more teams adopting the Korean model even if they're not in Korea.

Or the kind to take kindly to it The great thing about growing up is that you shouldn't get yelled at. But I guess most coaches for other sports see their teams as a giant group of children and feel the need to make players feel bad in order to encourage results. Hopefully Coach Park does well advising a foreign team. The challenge in coaching cross language and culture might be too much, even for such an established coach. There are so many variables at play.

They are doing different tasks. This does not mean, in any way, that the members of our current coaching staff will be replaced. We think that Sung Hwan “Hwanni” Kim and Sung Jin “trOt” Park did the best they could, given the situation they were put in, but in retrospect it was unrealistic to expect Sung Jin, who was coaching in a non-assistant role for the first time, and Hwanni, who was simultaneously fulfilling the roles of the team’s Head Coach and Operations Manager, to keep EG-Liquid at the same level as KeSPA teams with years and years of experience. Going forward, Sung Jin will work directly under Head Coach Park as his Assistant Coach, and Hwanni will focus strictly on our Korean Operations. We are also considering improving the depth and versatility of our Proleague lineup by adding more players to the roster, but no such additions have been finalized as of yet.

We're only half way through, quite literally any placement scenario between the six teams is still possible.

What does this change within the EGTL organisation? What should we expect to see from the players, given the new coach? Will the guy come out whipping stuff up and forcing proper practice and a korean regiment? Wouldn't this be bad for the players who are used to a "more laid back (albeit not overly)" style of training. I personally approve of plenty of whip cracking at EGTL... Its necessary and will make the difference.
