uh... t Haypro is sick good right now. Well hes always been good but hes been having trouble with tournaments ever since he had to face Ganzi in round 1 of code A.

Man if it was anyone but Stephano I feel like they would get blown up for dodging like this but too many people are obsessed with him right now to do that.
Seriously what a dodge, back in my day you could never get away with that crap. Ask for a $5000 showmatch only to back down when the person you challenged accepts it.
I agree haha, what kind of chickenshit behaviour is that ?
Props to Naniwa for maning up, hopefully we'll see a regular showmatch atleast!
Actually, this showmatch should be done right before Heart of the Swarm is released to celebrate the end of Wings of Liberty! Hopefully it will be as hype as this money match shown above celebrating the end of a decade of Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
10k show match is ridiculous, Stephano would have been nuts to accept it. He didn't chicken out he just has a brain. With 10k you can run a nice little tourney with more players and more games. A show match with a better prize pool is just as good. : )

Nothing about maning up. I would call it rather childish to put so much money on the table for an ego story.

Except he's the one who suggested it in the first place...

Nono, there's a big difference between simply declining to play a 10k showmatch for whatever reason, and doing what Stephano apparently did here and ASK for a showmatch then BACK OUT.

lol?
This is exactly the kind of crap I was talking about, some people are just blind and can't call things how they really are but rather how they want to see it. Stephano was the one that wanted the match to be $5000 each in the first place. He obviously made the proposal thinking that Naniwa would back down right then and there, but when Naniwa said he was cool with it (and he has said that and offered to play the match MANY times now) Stephano immediately backed down.
It is what we call a dodge. A very blatant and sad dodge.

Dude, he's making more than you with SC2...
In that case he should have no problem to live up to the challenge he himself posed towards NaNiwa? Since he earns so much you know... 5k wont be a big deal, right?
Wether he earns more than NaNiwa or not, atleast Nani accepted ....

If it's so ridicolous then why did he challenge NaNiwa to it? It's Stephano who challenged Naniwa, not the other way around...

you're in no place to call him out though. challenge was made to naniwa, not you, so you can just stfu and stop pretending like you're involved, antboy

Oh then my bad..
Well I'm guessing (though I don't know for sure) that Stephano was joking? Silly stephano... he's still right to dodge, sad as that is. I'd rather look like a dodger and not risk 5 grand (in a semi-broken mu xD). But yeah my bad about not being a bit more aware of what really happened.
To be clear though, the show match itself is what I find ridiculous, 10k is too much even between two Bonjwa caliber players (no one in the SC2 scene is bonwja yet btw).

Why would you say it is semi-broken? From your post I assume you are trying to say Protoss is favored?
Then why does Stephano say that protoss needs a buff to compete with zerg (though I personally do not agree with him and I do not believe he is in the position to say that)? Also DRG, the best zerg in the world, says that zerg is currently the strongest race (though he probably wouldn't say the same thing after getting manhandled by MKP and his Terran filled Code S group).
My point being that Stephano obviously feels extremely confident (or cocky rather, though I do not know his feelings after losing to Inori) in the match-up so I do not see why he would worry about losing so badly. From everything he has said in the past one would assume that Stephano thinks he would destroy Naniwa and that he would definitely be willing to try his hand at taking $5000 from him. Obviously as we have seen now though, this is not the case. The fans want it, Naniwa wants it, but Stephano does not, just strange and quite lame really.
Also I should add that Stephano definitely didn't look like he was joking when he offered to play for $5000. Naniwa offered to play for $500 each at first after Stephano initially called him out on twitter, and so Stephano said that that was too low and that they should each put $5000 on the table. Naniwa accepted, so Stephano dodged.

Not very long ago(before the twitter exchange) when asked on his stream about nani, he said he is not sure who is better and in general he is modest about his skill.I am pretty sure that would translate to him joking about the 5k, given that he doesn't seem to like gambles.
