The way the game plays out in the early game / mid game is more dynamic and every engagement doesn't have to be so big it decides the entire game right there.

I enjoy macro games when there's someone exceptional playing, like HerO's PvZ or Parting's PvT, but standard games where both players are maxed for five minutes before having it out are boring. There's no interesting decision making going on. The way the game plays out in the early game / mid game is more dynamic and every engagement doesn't have to be so big it decides the entire game right there. I'm just getting bored of SC2 in general. At least a couple months ago people were harassing, but now that people know how to defend everything I'm realizing the lack of energy that SC2 macro games have. TvZ now is boring as hell to watch. Infestors Z_Z. Yeah, let me mass a unit that prevents micro. I liked it better when there was Muta harass, but Thors pretty much killed the muta. People bairly even make banlings because infestors are so good. PvZ has no micro other then early game blink which is EZ PZ and Move Attack. TvT has no micro other then Bio Busting. TvP is just move Attack move Attack. PvP you have to micro your collosi. O_O ZvZzzzzzz was fun for a while, but now its just turtle into roach infestor.

The idea is to make an air heavy deathball against terran, the advantages of an air heavy deathball with void rays and phoenixes is that air units are protoss racial advantage, and they are stronger than air units of other races however more expensive. Huge amounts of air units from protoss would kill any amount of vikings. However if he's going to use marines, we're going to melt them with colossus while using forcefields to stay away from marauders. The composition idea would be as following: 200 supply: 60 supply worker, 36 supply colossus, 4 supply observer, 30 supply void ray, 50 supply phoenix, 20 supply sentry. Even if it's viable, you can say anything is viable, you can go 200/200 carriers and it's unstoppable but you never do that because you simply die. So here's how I think to pull it off: Nexus first is the best economical build perfect for us to secure a huge early gas income from 4 assims. We'll be needing 4 upgrades: Ground weapons, air weapons, thermal lances and anion crystal. So why not make an early forge in order to stop any aggression by building cannons. Now cannons can be killed by marauders and siege tanks. That's why we're going to build a stargate and make void rays which perfected counter those 2 units listed before. Then start our sentry production to help our cannons some more. We get a robo and start making 4 observers to have perfect vision around your base. Then use void rays and phoenix to stop any drop attempts. Now go colossus while adding 1-2 more stargates for extra air production. What do you think of this idea? Could it be viable? It's mostly theorycrafting that's why I posted it in general discussion thread. The transition into this would be a bit (read: very) hazy. Void Rays lack mobility and can easily be sniped by Bio if used in early midgame until you reach the critical breaking point. The gas income is vital, and each army supply is on average 46,2 gas. 6500 gas in total, from an average of 4 geysers is still 13 minutes and 25 seconds of mining gas (counting 121.15 gas/minute per geyser). This does not factor in upgrades, tech and units lost in harassment and engagements. This would hit at 25-30 minutes and a Terran who scouts this transition, which as previously mentioned still feels hazy, could prepare with Ravens, Vikings and potentially a few BCs or just keep attacking you relentlessly trying to deny you from reaching this point. You need great harassment and a Zealot-heavy midgame to pull this off. That being said, I think Sky Toss is very fun (it's great in PvZ, I play both P and Z so I get both ends of that deal...) and that it has yet to be thoroughly explored.

It's worked so far, but what if there's another player in the same tournament who says he'll play PvT and ZvZ, for example? It creates an infinite, unresolvable cycle. It's easily resolvable. Have them blindly pick a race without the other one knowing which one. That's what other games do in their tournaments.

This is assuming only one season (I know 2 seasons always reset your MMR/placement matches). I'm 90 percent sure that it would reset, don't count on that though.

-easier to hold a third base for more than one member on your team -more maps with all the members of your team inside one base so you feel more like a team than individuals that share a common goal and maybe improve the match making system so that if people make a party and search team games then they won't verse people who have searched random team games. This is just my gold league opinion.

Ohanna both in my play and while watching GSL seems to lead to lots of base race scenarios for some reason. Its relatively easy to sneak in a warp in pylon somewhere for P and i think that adds to the whole issue lol. I find it pretty entertaining as toss, simply because there are so many base races on the map.
