Banshee one is very tedious, but fun to do again once you completed it.
Done it plenty of times because it seems useful in actual games. I just use hold position instead of attack, find it easier/faster.
I hit H, let the banshee do a full turn (if it doesn't turn at all, keep moving), fire, then immediately issue a move command in the exact opposite side of the marines. After a while, you can feel it and see the banshee sliding backward while shooting.

Did all 30 of 'em, including all achievements in under 90min. Pretty proud of myself. The Banshee one took 30m alone...

It's really interesting to me to see which ones people have trouble with. I, for example, got through the roach forcefield, snipe, and banshee ones on my first go, but I keep reading about all these people who absolutely can't do it or had to try a million times.
I personally really struggled with the one where you have to make a forcefield ring to keep out the speedlings and the tank/medivac one, probably spent about 15 minutes on each.

why can't i emp the cloaked banshee? #23

You have to emp under it, not on it. Air units have their location underneath them; if you go and take an air unit, you will find a straight line down, and then a circle. That is their actual position in game.

how do you beat the fungal growth one?
|
The HT and marine one is really easy if anyone is having trouble...you can kill all of the marines in two storms. Just go back soon as it starts as they come at u cast a little bit ahead of where they will be walking into. You just do that twice with two perfect storms and they all die. Did not have to use more than two storms or bait whatsoever.

Have to use infested terrans as well as 4 fungals.

As I am in silver it was probably more annoying for me that it was for others, but if nothing else it was good practice for mouse accuracy and I did all 30 eventually. #30 seemed easier if you put the medivac on hold position straight away, no idea why, but I did it pretty soon after i did that.
|
#30 is the only challenge in the whole map that is latency dependent. I had the hardest time with that one because I was getting something like 0.3 sec delay, which happens once for each load/unload and with a total of 1 sec between shots it was really really tight.

Just tried it out today and did 1-26 pretty easily. 27 to 30 are quite difficult for me tho. The tank-medivac one isn't tht hard but i keep screwing it up and mis-clicking. And i find the ghost against baneling one quite hard too.

Round 25 micro insanity is rediculously hard for me, I don't even play protoss. It's my weakest race. I've memorized the hotkeys but the unit speed i think is what's messing me up. I have a feeling I should send the hts first to get feedbacks off fast then blink in after graviton but I can't seem to merge the HT before the tanks get 1 pot shot off

I sent the Phoenix in to Graviton the tanks, and feedbacked the PDDs while the Tanks were in the air. Then I pulled back the Phoenix, merged my HT, and sent the Archon in to absorb tank shots while I blinked onto one of the tanks. Pretty easy to mop up from there as long as you make sure your Archon is taking the brunt from the Marauders/Tanks.

I sent in the HTs to feedback the PDDs, then pulled them back afterwards-- an HT can take two tank shots without dying. Pull them out of range, then turn into an archon. Send in the Phoenixes immediately to kill the vikings, then once the vikings are dead, pick up tanks and send in your now-finished archon and 3 stalkers. Focus the Archon onto the bio units and clean house. Keep on stunning the tanks, and don't clump. Blink stalkers to keep them from dying, etc.

I got to the zealot/baneling one and after enough tries decided this was a crap custom, waste of time, people only want to play it for the achievements, and hit up ladder to actually improve.

You know, in your quest to improve it's sometimes occasionally okay to have fun too.

The pure air TvP style is a blast, and I'm working on a TvT variant. Just seemed odd that Blizzard would provide achievements for something so half-baked as this Starcraft Master thing.

Fair enough I wasn't trying to be a jerk or anything.
