This is the macro map for Season 3. Early on, it will be possible to easily take two expansions. This, along with the long rush distances in all start locations, will most likely encourage players to go for a mid- or late-game strategy, rather than a quick, rush-based strategy.
Blizzard doesn't understand that ALL maps need to be macro maps apparently. Have they not got the message that their maps sucks... I mean, no tournaments use their maps and all.
Also season 3 has got to be months away, right?

I see these maps and I wonder if we're going to get more map vetos. Unless blizzard takes 4 maps out of the pool to replace these, in which case I am curious to see what will be removed.

Because that's what people who are even new to the game want unless they play terran.

The only map there Im really liking the look of is that 4th one. Looks pretty big. Just hope they dont take out Tal'Darim to put it in.

Wow Blizzard sure has learned alot about Map Making. Looks like they decided walls are imbalanced so now all walls and cliffs are destructable because its just not fair that you can't sit in ur base for 10 minutes scouting nothing and once you have ur pre timed army 1a into your opponents expansion every game. this way you can Huff and you can Puff and blow ur opponents base 16 forcefields wide. Cause that is good for E-Sports! /begin laughing stock that is Blizzard mapmakers

These new 1v1 maps seem like they all add nothing new to the game play. The are pretty much the same thing as most of the current maps with different tile sets. Close rush distances, very difficult 3rd bases to acquire, and nearly impossible 4th bases. Having a few of these types of maps isn't a bad thing, but when almost every map is like that it is very annoying. They should add bigger maps like Tal Darim to give some variety of map selection.

I'm thinking Season 3 is July 1st. Season 4 is October 1st. Season 5 is January 1st and Season 6 is April 1st.

These maps look decent. #2 and #3 I am especially interested in.
#4 I fear may favor Terran a bit, with 3 bases accessible by only 1 choke.

Maps 1 and 2 look like you can spit on your opponents base from where you spawn, not looking forward to either of those.
3 was made for 2 base all ins
4 looks decent except for the proximity of the 3rd and opponents main in some positions
I give blizzard a 2/5 for these

1st map looks pretty terrible, I don't plan on ever playing that. Just a cheese/allin map. 2nd map looks like it has potential, backwater gulch essentially with a slightly different middle layout. 3rd map looks decent if you get cross spawn (kinda like meta) and it most likely will be possible to forge FE. 4th map is certainly the best of the batch, I wish blizz would just make all maps like this and have it standard.

They look bad. The last macro map looks like it will be a 2 base push with tanks from terran every game. Not excited.

I don't think I like this new "macro" map. I mean, great, macro map, easy third and etc.. but I think it is too easy of a third base. As a Zerg, I guess double-FE and drop-based play should be predominant versus protoss, and it should be VERY hard to face terrans in this map.
1v1Test1 - Seems like a really cool map. The size looks promising and third bases are quite hard to take, but not THAT hard. There is also the gold-based third possibility. I like it.
1v1Test2/Kerrigan's Wrath - The replacement for Delta Quadrant it seems, but the natural seems fairly easier to defend thanks to those rocks, but should be a pain to hold hellions. Third bases seem to be VERY hard to take - unless those rocks give walking space from whithin a base, then it is really really easy to defend a third base here. I'll give it a shot.
1v1Test3/Shifted Sky - WTF is this map. Slag Pits without close-by-ground? Snow theme is nice and all, but I don't know if I really like this map. Guess I'll need to try it to see if it makes up to its theme.

How long are seasons going to be? Seems like season 2 just started.

Hmm.. Interesting. I'm excited for a change up.. But these look rather "meh"
Hope they replace SS and DQ, though.

The 1v1 no.3 seems like my favorite, with the very narrow ramp for the main.
But no 2 player only ladder map
