I don't like mindless bashing, but the distance between bases seems VERY short. No way can you go into longer game with down+down or up+up positions in first three maps and even with cross positions spawn only it will be hard.. well let's hope I'm wrong

i want to kill the person who thought of adding Destructible rocks to starcraft.

map1 : looks like testbug to me, the bush infront of natural gonna be so annoying , rocks at third sucks too

map2 : i think the rush distance on this map is like steppes of war, gonna veto it no doubt about it

map3 : ugh another map thats gonna be like "OH I HOPE WE DONT GET CLOSE POSITIONS"

map4 : i dont even know what to think, looks like if u spawn top right u gonna be able to shoot someones main in top left corner

i wish blizzard would make bigger maps sc1 style, atm all the maps are like closeair, close, cross, both closeair and close often produce bad games

Well, 1 macro, 1 rush, and 2 normal, not bad i guess. Wish it would have been 2 macro, 2 normal but whatever, I'll just veto the rush. I think the biggest change will be what maps they take out though. Thats what i'm really interested to see.

I did just read it all, and saw no mention of when season 3 will be starting? Any rumors/confirmation on a date?

Close rush distances and hard to take third bases. why the hell is blizzard so obsessed with rushing???

This is almost as important as what they are adding.

I'm guessing July 1st is Season 3 as that would be a 3-month long season 2. Also would make season 4 Oct/Nov/Dec.

Some pretty BAD 1v1 maps. Is Blizz really that blind? There are so much good maps out there (beside those already used in f.e. the GSL) and they still make such dumb maps? So much rocks ... Dustin Browder award anyone?

all the 1v1 maps except the last macro one seems to favor terran early game in tvz.

The distance of the natural from the ramp is far, and the spine crawler wont be able to protect both the natural and the ramp until a creep tumor has spawned. Gas first reactored hellions and 2 rax seems stronger since the first spine wont do much

Notice how new Blizzard maps aren't being used in GSL? I think tournaments should stop using ladder maps.

2 and 4 look ok, I think. I wish they would just get rid of rooooooooooocks and make a solid wall on map 2 (for the nat, at least), then we'd have a good map I think.

I wonder if GSL will use any of these maps. Or if the supremely awesome GSL mapmakers will give us some new maps.
also i think you should be able to combine like 5 archons to make a really really shitty oliver stone film - Keanu_Reaver, bw balance genius

1 st map: bad map. It is a plain map without an interesting map layout.
2nd map: er weird map. Why so many rocks blizzard?
3th map: Seems a good map for counterattacks, I like it! But the center is a little cramped tough
4th map: average map.

Why doesn't blizzard adds GSL Crevasse and GSL dual sight for example? The community wants this maps in the ladder pool. Half of the current ladder maps arent even used in tournaments and they won't change that by adding other crap maps.
