Dude thank you bro would've never ever thought of that. Now I just have to warp-in HT right away and wait until they have 75 energy. My god such a revolutionary invention. The point of getting HT and all of the upgrades for it is so that you can use storm whenever it is you may need it. After a huge battle and both armies are decimated no one wants to warp-in a bunch of useless HT without enough energy to storm. You are better off getting a colossus or something so now even though colossus was already prevalent in all match-ups it will now be used even more which by general consensus no one wants.

Yes, it's part of the problem. The problem itself is that our T3 utterly sucks vs protoss. And sadly, the patch doesn't change that. Instead of fixing the problem (buffing mech vs protoss) they chose to nerf HTs (facepalm).

I really wanna test these changes myself before commenting much
(I do have a NA account+client, but the PTR exe says PTR is not available, just wanna know if there's a problem from my side).

This is precisely why we are crying about it. Remember last PTR? fungal couldn't hit air. Why do you think that change didn't make it through? Cuz zerg players were drowning blizzard in a sea of tears. The time to QQ and complain is now, before it gets set in stone, not after it goes live. I mean come on, how often have you seen blizzard revert a change that has gone out on an official patch?

what, how do you get destroyed by storm using mech, maybe mech isnt the problem in your play, mech was excelent against zealot+HT even with the amulet, now its just when terran wins a big battle and has a small force remaining he can actualy do damage with it, unlike now

Do you need to be at a certain range to shoot the fungal projectile? Even at 3000 masters I will miss with insta fungal because my inferiors (edit: I meant infestors... Funny autocorrect ) weren't quite in range.

Add this to the projectile delay and it's going to be extraordinarily hard to hit fleeing marines which you will have to aim behind anyways.

Warp in a templar or two as the expo is going up and keep them there during the game to defend the expo. Or take a templar from your deathball that has enough energy already and walk him to the expo. This change will force Protoss to be more prepared and spread themselves a little thinner which will slightly weaken their deathball which is kind of out of control right now.

Basically Blizaard doesn't want us reinforcing our shitty Gateway units with HT. So now when we need reinforcements during a battle we wont even think about trying to warp-in HT for they will be utterly useless as they only have feedback and the ability to morph in to a blue meat shield. We know this isn't set in stone but that doesn't mean this doesn't need discussing. Boom.

Maybe the tvp lategame will be playable again. P will still be favored but not as much as before, which is cool.

What Protoss would ever go Zealot+HT against Mech?
The only mech unit that is decent against Protoss is a Blue Flame Hellion.
Tanks die so painfully to Chargelots it isn't even funny and you need a big amount of tanks for them to be worth anything.
Thors die to upgraded Colossi aswell as Chargelots, not to mention Void Rays which hurt Mech plenty and Thors even more.

I'd love to go Mech against Protoss, I really would, but in its current state it is horribly bad against a wide variety of things Protoss can throw at it and then I haven't even brought up Immortals.

Oh great, now I can go for Colossi every single matchup and losing them equals losing the game. Plus 1-2 base allins because properly defending against drops is impossible.

What you can do now is Vortexing your own army and then charging into a siegeline though.

Unlike with bio, i cannot move out of storm with mech. Ever tried dodging a storm with thors or sieged tanks ? Also, tanks and thors do shit against zealots and you gotta hope your hellion ball finishes the zealots before it melts to storm.

I'm not complaining, i just hate that when i change my style from bio to mech, protoss has to do absolutely nothing to adept. What works vs bio works equally well vs mech (be it gateway/coll or gateway/ht or both). Usually, when i win, it's because toss thinks they have to adapt and try something funny like air or mass immortals.

It actually wasnt just Zerg players bro. The fungal change was not supported by anyone in the community because it was bad for the game.

I can't speak on behalf of Terran but I, as Zerg, think this change is bad for the game and do not support it. I would much rather see Terran get more viable late game options....
