A lot of people are forgetting that this patch is going to hit the public TEST realm. This means the patch will be TESTED before it is released, and changes can be made to it if the patch notes are bad. That is why these patch notes ca be completely outrageous.

Im a zerg user thats really into infestor use in zvz and zvt, im trying to work them in my zvp aswell,
and i really dont like that these buffs they change the role of the infestor from support to more of a damage caster.

I dont like that infestors might become an absolute must in every mu.

Imo zerg needs more of a general buff then these niche changes, and im not talking about making zerglings do 10 damage attack or anything but something like as someone said some posts ago,
a viable way of scouting before lair.

id Software didn't intend for players to be able to move really fast by abusing the physics system, but you know what they did? They turned bunny hopping into a staple of the Quake series.

I think Blizzard needs to calm down on the intervening and just let things play out on their own, except in the case of super imba things like the old beta 2 armor 1 supply roaches.

Cauz archon toilet weren't super imba maybe ?...
Also you can't compare the 2 games. Bunny hop and being imbalanced is 2 differents things, because for the bunny hop everyone could do it, whereas the archon toilet only P can do it. Seems unfair right ?

Well in zvz you can go with hydras instead of infestors on 2 base. In zvt i open infestor after lair, many prefer the muta opening, sure many might transition into infestor when on 3 or 4 base but far from everyone do. And right now in zvp infestors are rare, i'm kinda trying to work them in but if you skip hydras vs mass gate or the incontrol style, mass gate with just a few colossi you're kinda vulnerable, imo.

I like the changes. Terran early stim pushes are not super deadly and protoss doesnt instawin anymore once amulet+storm is researched.
Also, some buffs for zerg. This patch will improve the overall balance. Its a small step, though. But thats how blizzard is doing it: several small steps instead of a huge one, that could go in the wrong direction.

Oh, and the "macro timer"-thingy helps zergs the most, obviously. So thats basically a zerg buff, even though every race gets it.

Also, epic fail how some of you protoss thought that the archon toilet was balanced. And plz dont argue with "but its rarely seen, super duper lategame tech AND costs a lot of ressources". Something that allows you to destroy a 200/200 army without any losses and without any chance for your opponent to avoid it, is op. Period.

Zerg needs better scouting, not so much unit buffs. Frequently it is not possible to Ovie scout, because they are too slow, it takes too long to get them in enemies base, and if you get there, it dies too quickly in order to deliver useful information .. inreasing cost for overseer as in patch is contraproductive. The game is too much like rock paper scissor, its not a matter of balance, but i dislike to win/lose on build orders so many times (unscouted XY allin). There are a lot of early game pushes compared to the scouting capabilities at that time. Maybe get overseer to T1. It will still be an expensive early game investment, however you at least would have the possibility to do scouting, if something fishy is going on ..

If overseer price comes off the PTR into a real patch it would be the single most retarded change made to the game. Zerg scouting is already hard enough. We don't have an invisible detection unit or the ability to scan anywhere, overseers can be sniped easily.
Ever played against a protoss who mixes in DTs in his stalker ball?

Thats being unreasonable, remember when they decreased the bunker build time, at a time when bunker rushes were a lot more common. And when there was a huge outcry about the stupidity of it the change didnt make it past the ptr. They arent all that bad. dont know about WoW though...never really played it.

true that, the fungal only affecting ground units and not air anymore didnt make it past the prt either.
so there is actually a big chance that some of the stipulated changes wont be carried across into the asctual game.

for some reason its including the initial cost of the overlrod / corrupter to the cost for morphing them.

dont worry this WILL be fixed.

There is no way the broodlord/overseer cost is not a bug; stuff like this happens all the time on the Test realms anyway.

but it does the same amount of damage over 4 seconds instead of 8, so imagine u got stormed but instead of doing 80 damage over 8 seconds it did 80 damage over 4 seconds, Things would die twice as fast

If you purposely run your units into a vortex when you see a Protoss army that includes High Templars or Archons you deserve to lose those units.

It's like setting your way points to an enemy cannon line. Why would you do that?

You do know the Vortex can be positioned wherever the Protoss wants, i.e. he can put the Vortex ON half of your army and suck it in without you being able to do anything about it. Zzz

The mothership was imbalanced, that nerf is easily agreable, but not the amulet one. Even if it was stronger than it should, and even that is open for discussin, because some other factor could be changed - either in P or T - to balance out the perceived imbalance of P late game, removing it is in no way a good solution.
