The reason SEA have a region button, is because ISP's in Australia will route their own SEA traffic through American ISP's into Asia because it's cheaper for them to do so. For players on those ISP's, it means they get an irritating amount of lag. There was alot of complaint to different ISP's about this and the larger ones refused to co-operate. Blizzard made the choice to allow access to both NA and SEA so if you're suffering at least you can try to play to NA - which if you have routed SEA traffic will have a lower ping and make the game playable again. There aren't any 'regulations' limiting Internet speeds in Aus, it's just that we have an incumbent with no desire to improve things, and vast distances with a small population that make any upgrades costly. I haven't noticed any problems with a language barrier; every player I've tried to speak to has spoken good English and the rest know enough to glhf and gg (which is probably 99% of the conversations anyway. ![]() We do have direct pipes to SG, it's just that the second largest ISP (Optus) doesn't use it, so anyone with that provider will be routed through NA resulting in horrible latency. From memory New Zealand has horrible routes to SG regardless of ISP, so NA is a much better option for them too. The main reasons they opened NA were for those who had horrible routes to SG, people already had relationships with NA from WoW, and the player base isn't large enough for people who want to play the less popular games (custom games, 4v4 in off-peak etc).

Internet regulation and less people per square mile than NA makes it difficult for communities to stay in tact over there. Small games or even games with a mid size community have no chance of surviving, SC2 is really the only game I could see staying alive over there which is great that blizzard allowed them to play in NA. Also keep in mind that it's basically a mini UK (large ass continent though) surrounded by asian countries, language barriers can really set back a communities growth. So it is possible to have cross region support, so when is the rest of the world going to get it? You make it sound a lot worse than it is. It really isn't that bad and many games have communites that are active. Internet regulations (we don't have them either, just old and outdated infrastructure - but thats changing) don't change ping times, it's a matter of location. The ping isn't that bad anyway on SC2.

On the damage description it said the usual 6 normal 10 armored but when I attacked the colossus there was a notable increase. I thought they were gonna remove the + armored and replace it with + massive but it looks like they added on top of the armored making them much more deadly This is going to change pvp colossi wars.....

Freaking yes! Only downside is that 4 gates are still incredibly powerful.

Wait, what? 150 shields + 200 hp / 4 = over 87,5 dps PER Void Ray? Isn't that like 300-500% increase in damage? Or are my math skills failing me?

It was actually around 3.5 in game seconds I may have exaggerated a bit with the one second. Still I wonder if the 2.25 speed now will nullify the damage increase its been given.

The damage increase is only +20% vs Massive. Meaning it will so 12 vs Armored Massive and 7.2 vs Normal Massive (If there is any such unit idk)

Not sure if people'll like that. x) Not to mention Zerg's Broodlord and Ultra; however, they aren't used often as it is, so it probably won't be as significant as it will be for Terran, with the Thor being seen relatively often. I think this will discourage Zerg getting those T3 units even more now though. sigh
