Don Garber has go to be on cloud nine right now. He just gave the league a worldwide money printer for 2 and a half years. Apparently this seems to be the start, according to some, of the US/MLS leaving Concacaf for the Copa Libertadores, or maybe even pushing to combine. Then there is the obvious growing relationship between Argentina and the US sporting world (as Messi will own a portion of Miami after he leaves). Which has got to be rubbing some leagues the wrong way.
Lionel Messi has finalized his deal to join Major League Soccer, and after years of planning and pursuing, Inter Miami has landed a global icon.
Messi’s contract became official Saturday, a little more than five weeks after he declared that he would be coming to Inter Miami. The team will introduce him Sunday night at its stadium in Fort Lauderdale, and the first home match of the Messi era could be as early as Friday in a Leagues Cup match against Cruz Azul.
A formal news conference is scheduled for Monday, and his first training session with his new club is expected on Tuesday. The club previously announced that Messi’s deal will be for 2 1/2 seasons and will pay him between $50 million and $60 million annually — putting the total contract value between $125 million and $150 million in cash alone.

If the sixth biggest league in Europe was closer to the other 5 and so on that would be better for football overall. And so on and so forth
If the Saudis can build a sustainable league fair enough and that would be good for the sport in my region but I have me doubts
There’s a growing financial chasm between the Premier League, a few others and the rest, but they can only accommodate so many players. Now this Saudi league is throwing money around, that’s an additional exit valve
Serie A as a league had its best European performance in forever only to be losing talent to an additional venue
Georgia and Israel U21 did wonders in the tournament which shows that there is more football talent is growing and maybe short term serie a and bundesliga will lose a lot of talent but other will emerge. E.g. tjere have never been more Japanese players in Europe ever.
The only problem (major one for me) are the travel times. miami is literally the worst place in east side when it comes to travel times in football. shortest away game is Orlando (travel time ~ 70min with airplane) and second shortest is atlanta (2h away).
Comparison: you play in dortmund and you farthest away game is munich (1h airplane).

travel times at western side are another story :D
I imagine it's less of a problem when you fly with a private jet.
So, how's the transfer window going? Arsenal and Liverpool seem active, Bayern is pushing for Kane. Chelsea has been cleaning up some of the older roster.
Lots of Saudi money entering the market means it should be a very active window in general.

The Guardian is reporting that West Ham are trying to sign Leon Goretzka to replace Declan Rice, and also that they tried to take Harry Maguire on loan but were turned down.
It would be very strange to see West Ham considered a better place to be than Bayern, but the world is a strange place at the moment.

That Prem money haha
The strangeness is not that he’s a Bayern player but he’s very much a pretty regular first team player. I could see a team like West Ham being an attractive option, in the Prem, some European competition for a fringe Bayern player, absolutely but that one seems weird

Not sure what Bayern is planning at the moment. Very confusing.
In some sense I could see some Bayern players going "Whelp, we did really bad this season and still won the championship, time for a new challenge". A lot of them are probably happy collecting the paycheck and trophies and taking a shot at the UCL once a year, but I can also see that some players wanting try something else at some point of their career too.
No idea how West Ham comes into that picture, but it sure is a new challenge if that's what Goretzka desires.
