I mean i hope he continues to grow and be good as he still doesn't look the complete striker even though his goal scoring rate is sensational. £54 million and 200k a week wages is reported...seems a lot but when 1st july hits, Atletico give us £48 million for Morata xD

What do you mean? I don't get why lots of clubs aren't doing this. Interest rates in England are at an all-time low (im sure they are for the rest of the world as well) so borrowing that much money for a club and business as big as they are is paying off pennies a month. Until it becomes normal circumstances again then they can either lump sum pay it off or just continuing paying off the low monthly payment for their business and be safer during that time, don't forget especially for Spurs they have a £1billion stadium they just moved into xD

I get that new stadium cost a lot of money, but loosely following Spurs transfer policy the last few seasons more often than not it's been "well we don't have any money for transfers, deal with it". Plus I read at the start of the Corona pandemic that Spurs were being heavily criticised for taking money from the government even though they weren't strapped for cash. Maybe I'm misremembering it, but it's kinda weird to me. To be fair, your point about interest rates makes a lot of sense, but to me the most surprising part is that they're in the red :D

Yeah its good news for me as Chelsea fan anyway, means more chance that if someone bid big for Kane he would be allowed to go XD

League 2: Swindon, Crewe and Plymouth promoted and the play offs start as soon as next week Colchester United v Exeter City and Northampton Town v Cheltenham Town There's also a legal mess over whether Stevenage or Macclesfield lose their football League status. This is all largely because there is little incentive to keep playing for small clubs with little to no TV revenue. Get the season finished, know where every one stands. Get ready to for next season when hopefully these smaller clubs can open their gates again in a few months.

Why would Klopp put so much effort, when he is thrice the price, and doesn't have the green light? Most reports I read claim that Klopp really wanted Werner, even flew in to talk to him, but the club refused to pay the buyout clause. Obviously this is all second hand information, but I never read anything to the contrary. If you are not interested in having an attacker at 20 mil Euro, as a backup, you are not inclined to when he is 60 mil. Origi has earned his spot as backup too, and Minamino and Shaqiri still have difficulties breaking in. The latter mostly due to calf injuries, and the former due to just added to the squad in January. Klopp has always said, he rather work with what he has, than replacing people, unless he absolutely has to. There is simply no real spot for Werner, as good as he may be, and no matter how big a LFC fan he is and how much the club is his preferred destination.
