But regardless, that's a horrifically bad name for a match you want to build up hype for. Get ready for the greatest match of the season, the LA derby, the one and only "el tráfico"! Rofl

They make a pretty big deal about it. Lilian Thuram, ex-world champion in 98, said that it'll only stop when FIFA decides to stop a game when it happens. A lot of articles about how it doesn't look good for the world cup etc..

I dont think it will stop from simply stopping a game not just the one game anyway.
I think retroactive punishment that actually hurts fans in general could work. The obvious collateral are the fans who dont do anything but thats the only way to pariah this behavior.
things that are so ingrained they are normalized need bigger shocks to the system for it any meaningful change to take effect in my opinion.
Pretty sure the referee has liberty under the rules to stop games when it happens. Its just a very difficult and extremely brave decision to make, with literally no margin for error.

so when they punish the club because of fan racism, how do they tell that the fan is actually a fan of the club? is it just where they are sitting? or do they sift through their facebook and shit?
not sure what stopping a game is supposed to do, unless ur saying that the entire (or a very large part) stadium is being racist

I didnt say anything about clubs..although that is a reasonable thing to discuss als. With international games its pretty easy to tell
Again the point is to pariah the behavior regardless of whose fans are doing it. Its not a complicated concept to understand.

im just using clubs as my example, cause there's been examples of leagues making clubs play in empty stadiums due to fan racism, so im just wondering if anyone knew how they determine that the fan is from that club.

Investigating these sorts of things is not as complicated an exercise as you are imagining. Provided there is will and intent to do so.
Theres camera, security, other staff, witnesses. Fan heckling and abuse is not limited to football and lots of sports are able to sanction fans / teams for fan misbehavior. And sure if part of that investigation involves looking up that guy on facebook... thats not a particularly difficult thing to do. Anyone with a website and a 100 dollar a month subscription to a SAAS platform that offers those sorts of analytics can gather digital footprints way more complicated than that.
That having been said the empty stadium incidents you are referring to rarely occur because of isolated hecklers. Its usually larger scale coordinated behavior such that the investigation bit is merely a formality or due process on open and shut cases of fan misbehavior

Naa they aren't that good, the win today just proves how Dortmund has fallen from grace super hard.

bayern can't be discounted. lineup today; Rafinha Boateng Hummels Alaba Javi Martínez Müller James Robben Lewandowski Ribéry. That's super solid. I haven't seen much of ribery lately tbh and he seemed a bit over the top last time I did - but this is a lineup with a crazy good peak level, and basically no weak spots.

well not really surprising when you play with Schürrle and Götze. Both players who don't work hard but think of themselves as world stars

I am not sure why anyone thinks that way, I would mostly put it down to Mou being a terrible manager, but that triggers people.
MLS is tailormade for Zlatan, hes spent his entire career (particularly in Italy and France) being "the man" having the team feed him as much as they could regardless of how and where and let him do his thing.
Its a memed thing but the whole "welcome to Zlatan" think is entirely representative of what it means to have Zlatan in your team if its going to be successful.

comes on at 1-3 after 71 minutes, team wins 4-3 after he scores 2 goals, one completely out of nowhere. quite the debut.
zlatan is the god of timing those volley/semi volley long shots.none better at that.
