I think Nicks could be another one of those good value signings since the Colts are kind of a bubble team who need big play makers.

imo he's a more talented player than arian foster will ever be, just gets owned by injuries every season. so i guess this year will decide whether he ends up being darren mcfadden 2.0 or not

dri archer or de'anthony thomas would also work as change of pace backs - they'd be available in the 5th/6th too unless teams fall in love with them. edit: dri archer and de'anthony thomas are good in that you can also line them up in the slot ala dexter mccluster (who's in tennessee now) - i think they need to focus on getting one of the 'big 3' qb's with the no. 4 pick then maybe BPA for their second 1st.

Honestly they are the only RBs above replacement level by a significant margin.

Why would they do this? Is there something going on with Gabbert that we don't know about? When he gets more than 2.6 seconds in the pocket, he is statistically an above-average (read: top 16) NFL quarterback.

Lafell seemed like a legit #2 or 3 at worst if he continued to improve. If for no other reason they shoulda kept him because they have noooo one now! And they've got a pretty damn good D to compliment a nice run game. That's a team that can win if they play their cards right short term

another problem though is that with jordan gross retiring, they need a new LT.

I agree we should've kept Lafell, but I don't think he was particularly interested in staying.

Cam just poaches too many of the rushing points.

We lost every wide receiver not on the practice squad, the entire starting secondary (the front 7 is obviously the strength of the defense and the secondary was solid but not spectacular. But, I mean, come on! The WHOLE secondary left in free agency xD ) Plus (since Jordan Gross retired) we have a huge hole at LT on an O-line that already needed work and we also have little/no money to throw around. I know it's very early in the offseason, but we aren't winning anything right this second. I agree we should've kept Lafell, but I don't think he was particularly interested in staying. Aren't the Panthers hurting badly for cap space this season?
