Lol now lets not get stupid here...Bayern have been buying the best players from the other Bundesliga clubs for years and years... Wait until they take Lewandoski off Dortmund before the real hate campaign rides on ^_^ People would care MUCH less about Lewandowski being bought. Buying Götze is probably the most despicable thing they could have done to Dortmund, from a fan's perspective.
This. Bayern is nothing more than a despicable piece of trash.
For the first time in my life, I'm cheering for a Spanish football team. You know something is wrong when I, of all people, am cheering for them.
I hope Barcelona grinds these spineless fuckers into the ground, embarrasses them, and crushes their dreams. Bayern fans should wear a bunch of paper bags over their heads, they should be so ashamed of this soulless club.
Lol terrible clubs >.< God dammit. So because Bayern have the 4th best revenue in the world, they want to spend it to buy the good players...that is bad? I only see it unfair if they do it because they break rules. But they arent, they are doing it right, properly and are benefiting from it! What do you want to happen, that all grass route academy players trained by clubs cannot leave to a rich team for more $$s? :S
Is it unfair?
No.
Is it respectable?
Hell no.
Instead of throwing around the obnoxious amounts of money you have, why don't you have the balls to actually face a team and compete, instead of buying out all of their good players as soon as they develop good talent? This is a blatant move to buy out the talent from Dortmund because Bayern doesn't want competition. This happens all over Europe and it's an embarrassment to the sport. You constantly here the rumors about everyone wanting to buy every good player from Dortmund after they put in the hard work to develop the talent. It's sad and it compromises the integrity of the game.
And yes, no respect for Bayern, but even less respect for Goetze.
Oh, and if people over at RM are the ones that leaked, well, there's a reason I keep hating on the Spanish. Only a bunch of despicable, cowardly little bitches that didn't have the courage to actually compete would leak info like this.

Damn some real antagonism there Stratos. Can't say I don't understand the frustration though.

Lol. Sport is a business as well. Bayern are just making sure they have the best, so their revenue justifies their team. Well now it does with signing without a doubt Germany best midfielder that is currently in Germany xD
Think you need to step back and look at the world and football before you start brandishing clubs a disgrace for business. Or even start blaming the club that let him go...
|
so funny reading Götze's facebook page, people going around commenting on pictures from 2-3 months ago. Traitor or "i hope you break your legs" are one of the nicer insults you can find there. Can't expect tomorrow when he he shoots them to victory and they all shut up.
btw neither bayern or Götze himself leaked it, so it has to be 3rd party that wants to stir up some drama before the matches.

BVB didn't have a choice; Goetze's new contract forced them to let him go if they received a 30M transfer fee.
I don't think you understand how we Americans look at sports. Sports isn't just a business over here; it has the spirit of competition and integrity built into it. We don't look at a sport like Walmart looks at the convenience store industry; we see sports as a cultural past time and something that actually has integrity and honor. If someone pulled this kind of shit in an American sport, there would be so much hate in the country that it would be palpable. ESPN would be covered with sports pundits shaming the club like no other. Clubs like Bayern are widely despised across the U.S., and it'll be a cold day in Hell before I apologize for this. I expect a little integrity from my sports clubs, and if Americans can do it, it isn't too much to ask from Europeans.

Schweinsteiger has been outstanding this season, and Kroos was probably Bayern's best/most consistent player before getting hurt. I don't think Götze is clearly better than either of them currently. His value lies in the fact that he's this good at age 20.

shit man, you lost respect for someone that wants to play for the best club in the country and the club wants to have the biggest national talent? oh I just remembered I still gotta go buy bread.
but yeah keep hating on him for wanting to play for the club that's going to dominate the Bundesliga for the next few years trained by the most succesful coach of the past decade.
You'll rarely see the thing called "loyalty" in football. Most guys work their way up want to get reconized in a small club and eventually transfer to a bigger club for the big $$$ and the fame. I think the only really "loyal" player I can think of right now is Steve Gerrard who probably had countless offers during his career to play for more succesful teams but stucks to the Reds.
You can of course name a few of the barca or Real guys, but why would they need transfer, since they already play for the arguably best teams in the world.

Lol your view is fine, like i tell quite a few people irl when we talk about sporting structure in England i always bring up the fact America probably has the best system for nurturing talent and competition ethic from a very young age. Whole system is better.
But in football it is completely different. How many of the teams in the MLS actually have youth academy's and reserve teams? Every club across Europe has a reserve team and youth academy, and in spain the reserve teams of Barca and Real play in the 2nd division! But that is just a small difference. If there was a gigantic draft every summer from the youth players across Europe or even the world, im pretty sure Man Utd Real Madrid Barcelona Bayern Munchen Chelsea would attract the majority of them with the $$s they could offer in a contract compared to the other teams around who arguably could nurture them better. It's just how it works in this sport im afraid >.<

Meh, don't have a good feeling about tonight :/

Seriously, Barca has to be the favorite here. So much expereince, so much confidence after having won so many titles. Maybe 60/40 in their favor. Normally, Barca would be the fav. But their ace is coming from an injury. And we saw both vs Milan and vs PSG, what happened to them when they have to face the best of the best in the continent without "the one" who make the difference.

Just because integrity isn't the norm in the sport doesn't mean I should be ok with this shit.

Bayern 2-1 Barcelona - Bayern to confident at home for me, will hit Barca hard and go 2-0 up, but for Barca to take a crucial away goal to Nou Camp in the last 10minutes!

Yeah, Steven Gerrard's loyalty is astonishing in today's ruthless world

Rooting for Barca as I'm still waiting for my BVB - Barca Matchup. damn drawings... But looking at Bayern this season you hardly find off-days. They're gonna take it 3-0.
|
Shit like Gotze did is why Giggs and Gerrard are fucking legends xD And they are often valued over players with even more titles than them.
Nobody in Spain remembers how much Figo earned, or how many titles he won, hell most people can't even remember he got a Balon d'Or for his season at Barça in 2000.
What all the country remembers is how he betrayed his club and left to the greatest rival, one week later after saying he never would. That is what everyone knows about him, and what will be remembered in 20 years xD I sure don't think the money is worth all the hate, when you could have been a loved hero and still pretty fucking rich.
Tbh I hope the kid breaks his leg so everyone talks about the judas curse, making other players think twice about it xD
