you can add approximately 7500 euros that he won in the beginning of july (with french qualification of eswc, medion trophee etc ..)

Just dropping that here : Stephano is too lazy for med school. It is a hoax that people like to talk about.

Oh, how I wish he decided to go train in Korea for a few months and show that (whether?) he can actually kick ass just as much as top Koreans. I think its jelousy mostly. Everyone say you need korean training to become the best but somehow Stephano is a freak and just destroys koreans and the best foreigner all the time. So its a slap in the face to many. He clearly is very special No it's just that he is gimmicky and ridiculously overhyped. People don't like that. I mean, people like you saying he destroys koreans and the best foreigners all the time? That's just a fanboyish lie. It hasn't happened, no matter how much you wish it. Lol overhyped? He won IPL 3 and now ESWC world cup allmost 60k dollars in 2 weeks. Been a pro player for a month and he is overhyped? Take an old great zerg like Idra he havent won 2 major online tournaments have he? Overhyped lol gtfo To be fair, Idra won an IEM, MLG and IPL. Not Premier tournaments but definitly major ones. IPL1 and MLG DC had laughably weak competition, and IEM china wasn't exactly filled to the brim with code S players IEM and ESWC are kinda in the same league. IdrA beat Puma,Revival, elfi and stephano beat MKP, Mana, cloud and axslav. And IdrA placed higher than Stephano in the last MLG.There is really no point in discussing who's the strongest based on results since we have so few at the moment. If you look at gameplay, I would say Stephano's ZvP and possibly ZvZ are better than IdrA's and IdrA's ZvT is better. ATM, Stephano is clearly better than IdrA.
Until we see 10 Bo5 of IdrA vs Stephano, I won't bother commenting that. And i'm a Stephano fan.

Why now you guys have to discredit IdrA just to defend Stephano? You are just doing exactly what they are doing. The point of all this discussion is that you should NEVER consider a player inferior to another one only because in his tournament run he met a possibly easier opposition (ignoring the blantantly idiotic cheating arguments).
By the way, a few posts above this one, second video, MKP called Stephano "gosu". I suppose now MKP is a scrub and his opinion is worthless.
Edit: I'm out anyway. It's impossible to bang some sense in people's heads, no matter the size of the sledgehammer you use. This whole argument is now tiring me.

MKP is good but he plays too sloppy at times.
He needs to go back to preschool and learn the fundamentals to be a really solid player that can top MVP
On the other hand, Stephano is looking really good. Hope to see how he do vs MVP and NesTEA

Theres more to determine the better player than just one matchup. I guess you never prove someone to be the better player. You can just believe (and argue). In a discussion over the best player its seems unclear if "most accomplished", "most skilled" or something other is meant.

If you look at gameplay, I would say Stephano's ZvP and possibly ZvZ are better than IdrA's and IdrA's ZvT is better. Man, all your argumentations is invalid because of this. We all know the MLG organistion sucks (Incontrol's Pool, Extended series, too many Bo3 if you lose 1 game in winner bracket) ATM, Stephano is clearly better than IdrA. And just for your information Stephano is now the 1st Foreigner in money according to http://www.sc2earnings.com
At MLG Stephano beat Vibe, Whitera, Drewbie, Kiwikaki, inka and chance and lost to TheSTC and Boxer. IdrA beat Haypro, Drewbie, TLO, Boxer, Hong hun, Bomber and lost to MKP and MC. I fail to see why you can say that IdrA didn't deserve to place higher than Stephano...
And like i said before, going by tournament results and earnings are not that significant when we have so few tournaments to make an opinion.
You can argue that Stephano's playstyle is better but that's basically it. And you will find people who will disagree with that statement...
And btw, disregarding an argumentation because you disagree with a specific point is utterly retarded.

I met MKP and MC at ESWC, I love them even more now.
|
This whole IdrA vs Stephano argument is insulting to both players, regardless who you think is better.
Stephano deserves a lot of credit for his victory from us, he doesn't need fanboys claiming he's better than IdrA or other people. I can bet my ass they both don't give a shit about it.
WPWP Stephano!

Are Stephano vs MKP VODs (or live stream archive) available? I missed that set. Thanks

It's easy to decide who the best his, make htem both have 3bo5 against MVP then Nestea, then MC (or is there another Top protoss who comes in mind ?) and compare :D

Stephano is a great player and all, but there is no way he couldn't hear the crowd / commentators. Not sure if it's been pointed out in this thread, but I saw this on reddit. Stephano is clearly wearing his ethnic headgear, a piece of fabric covering his ears. So he obviously isn't using in-ear buds. Also this will severely reduce the sound proofing as the headphones won't be able to clasp the head as tight. I was there. Stephano wore nothing but hair on his head. Then what is that black band wrapped around his head? ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/13Q5g.jpg)

Thud seems to knows 2 or 3 things but pomf seems to not follow sc2 metagame at all. He was completely loss when Thud was late yesterday morning.
If they don't improve their sc2 knowledge i dont think they will stay as long as that for the big french sc2 events
