Gotta love those random comments, lol. Think for once, why would every good tournament have booths if they could fix the problem using headphones - lol. I'm pretty much an audiophile and that ensures me that perfectly soundproof headphones simply doesn't exist.

This is the only time MKP has ever lost a BOX series to a zerg that isn't named NesTea. Despite that, people still find a reason to shit on Stephano? It's ridiculous. I think saying MKP has the best TvZ is a bit of an exaggeration -- MVP would like to say hello -- but yes, basically what you've said. No point in downplaying this guy's achievements, especially since he'll be retiring in a year. (Lol, reminds me of Creo.) for sure he wont be retiring if he will keep up winning tournaments, hes the calculative guy, if hes winning its profitable ergo he will continue doing it. Haha, people thought that about Creo too. Then he said goodbye to the scene right at the height of his glory!
Stephano will earn a shit ton more money going into medicine anyways. It's a better career, and it's a hundred times more stable. Why would you keep playing SC2 if it'll eventually die in a decade when you can become a doctor and help save or improve the quality of people's lives?

Stephano is a great player and all, but there is no way he couldn't hear the crowd / commentators.
Not sure if it's been pointed out in this thread, but I saw this on reddit. Stephano is clearly wearing his ethnic headgear, a piece of fabric covering his ears. So he obviously isn't using in-ear buds. Also this will severely reduce the sound proofing as the headphones won't be able to clasp the head as tight.

I don't know if the sound from the video is the same as the sound the player hear on the stage, But I'm french and I don't understand anything the caster are saying in this video. At all.
It's sounds like an overwhelming noise for me.

Ehhh, i think Mana realy needs to be less predictable. He will be much more dengerous plaer if he throw in 4 gate or 7-8 gate once in while. GZ Stephano.

If stephano is hyped, what is Idra? All idras wins came in the early stages of BW and vs like NA only tourneys. His last was vs low lvl koreans that is not better then the ones stephano have in his wins.
Also in MLG idra came from groupstage and had to play very few matches while stephano walked the long way.
Stephano is a better zerg atm then Idra, the result can not be questioned!

The games would be casted in english so both players would have equal chances...
Naniwa did it for his game vs Tarson in Battlenet EU Invitational. Polish stream was switched with english one to play for the audience. I can bet than more of 60% of the crowd would be unable to understand the commentary if it was in english... it's an event in France, a lot of French (especially gamers) suck at english, French is the official language in France and the majority of the crowd is French, there is no reason to not cast in french. France is not sweden, we suck at english. Well why whould they have a thing called world championship in a place were they dont know the most common language in "lé" world. But tbh, if anyone could hear them they most likely whould've complain. It's alot of money we are talking about. But if they did complain and they didn't do anything about it whould be a damn shame. I could probably search this up, but why does only a few countries in europe learn english? Is it because we know the importance of beeing able to communicate with other people than just ourself. Or is it because we aren't as proud as the french and the germans for instance? :S why do some people not see the importance of learning French, which is also a very important language in the EU (there is no accent on "le") You swedish people grow up with non-dubbed movies, so your understanding and eventually your production of english benefits greatly from that without you even really noticing it. Also, swedish as a germanic language has lots of similarities to English. your last sentence is not worth commenting on
His last sentence probably comes from our view that you want "everything" dubbed and translated. That and that we believe that you and the French "hates" England due to your history makes us think that you are stubborned nationalists who doesn't want to recognize the english language as #1 in our western world. That's my guess. :p
And we all love to pick on and banter on each other. ^^

It has happened, even in GSL, where they had booths (Jinro). Just chillax dude. I know you are a fanboy etc. but I'm not attacking him, it is just bad for a tournament. I'm sure we will soon know.

No wonders you cannot understand anything, when the video was recorded with a cellphone by a guy who probably stood in the front of xxxxW speaker.

Yeah he could probably hear a LOUD sound, very noisy, but that's about all I heard. More distracting than helping if you want my opinion. And no PGM seemed to complain. Considering the prize-pool, I guessed if it was really a problem somebody would have said something. So if you have proof that Stephano heard the casters AND that it helped him, I'm ready to consider it possible. If not , stop the BS.

That's because MLG didn't pipe commentators out into the main stage area. The only people hearing the commentators were the stream viewers. This was after the opening series when Idra said he heard the commentators while playing Socke, and they cut the audio to the stage for the rest of the tournaments until they had booths.
Stephano rules, and I'm glad to see him win.

You know what, I'm also pretty sure Stephano muted the sound from the game to hear Pomf &Thud commenting, I'm also pretty sure he had a direct access to their "TOP TIER" (ahem) commentary.
Just to be sure he would win, we are French, we cheat, that's it.
