I mean, people like you saying he destroys koreans and the best foreigners all the time? That's just a fanboyish lie. It hasn't happened, no matter how much you wish it. Lol overhyped? IEM and ESWC are kinda in the same league. IdrA beat Puma,Revival, elfi and stephano beat MKP, Mana, cloud and axslav.
And IdrA placed higher than Stephano in the last MLG.
There is really no point in discussing who's the strongest based on results since we have so few at the moment.
If you look at gameplay, I would say Stephano's ZvP and possibly ZvZ are better than IdrA's and IdrA's ZvT is better.

ive been looking for the games, but I can't find any of them. can someone link me to the stephano vs marine king and mana games? thanks!

Stephano is clearly wearing his ethnic headgear, a piece of fabric covering his ears. So he obviously isn't using in-ear buds. Also this will severely reduce the sound proofing as the headphones won't be able to clasp the head as tight. I was there. Stephano wore nothing but hair on his head.
Then what is that black band wrapped around his head?

I don't know if the sound from the video is the same as the sound the player hear on the stage, But I'm french and I don't understand anything the caster are saying in this video. At all. It's sounds like an overwhelming noise for me. No wonders you cannot understand anything, when the video was recorded with a cellphone by a guy who probably stood in the front of xxxxW speaker. You know what, I'm also pretty sure Stephano muted the sound from the game to hear Pomf &Thud commenting, I'm also pretty sure he had a direct access to their "TOP TIER" (ahem) commentary. Just to be sure he would win, we are French, we cheat, that's it.
Didn't they tell you ? P&T were whispering Stephano during the game.

There are 2 people that said Stephano is overhyped and 100 people that defended Stephano. There is no need anymore to be so defensive against such few people imo.
And yes, you can argue that Steohano is the best foreigner, so can you for IdrA, so can you for HuK. Cant we just agree that we disagree and move on please.
Ever since that "best foreigner poll" was created this is the been argued about in almost every thread that I have read. Please, please, please let us all be happy zerglings, marines and Zealots.
Edit: I need to get John to make a speech about this.

Difference is stephano has yet never been in Korea in opposite of Idra and HuK , but stephano is an ex warcraft III pro.
The real questions are : When will he stop his learning ( is he as his max here ? ) Will he continue to win so many things ( or will he crash in korea like so many before and after him )

The games would be casted in english so both players would have equal chances...
Naniwa did it for his game vs Tarson in Battlenet EU Invitational. Polish stream was switched with english one to play for the audience. I can bet than more of 60% of the crowd would be unable to understand the commentary if it was in english... it's an event in France, a lot of French (especially gamers) suck at english, French is the official language in France and the majority of the crowd is French, there is no reason to not cast in french. France is not sweden, we suck at english. Well why whould they have a thing called world championship in a place were they dont know the most common language in "lé" world. But tbh, if anyone could hear them they most likely whould've complain. It's alot of money we are talking about. But if they did complain and they didn't do anything about it whould be a damn shame. I could probably search this up, but why does only a few countries in europe learn english? Is it because we know the importance of beeing able to communicate with other people than just ourself. Or is it because we aren't as proud as the french and the germans for instance? :S why do some people not see the importance of learning French, which is also a very important language in the EU (there is no accent on "le") You swedish people grow up with non-dubbed movies, so your understanding and eventually your production of english benefits greatly from that without you even really noticing it. Also, swedish as a germanic language has lots of similarities to English. your last sentence is not worth commenting on His last sentence probably comes from our view that you want "everything" dubbed and translated. That and that we believe that you and the French "hates" England due to your history makes us think that you are stubborned nationalists who doesn't want to recognize the english language as #1 in our western world. That's my guess. :p And we all love to pick on and banter on each other. ^^
totally agree with your last sentence
not so much with the rest. there is also an economic reason for dubbing movies for a big country like germany, you know

Not the best of events. The scheduling was rather frustrating ; semi-finals were at 11 am and finals at 4 pm with not much in-between (besides watching MC & MKP practice or an Adel vs Lalush showmatch). But what really annoyed me was the fact they only showed one on the semis (Stephano vs MKP), while the other one (and the consolation final) took place in the training area). The casting was, as expected, bad enough to make the angels weep (and it's still a damn shame it wasn't in English which is like, you know, the norm).
As for the whole "Stephano hearing the casting" thing, I think the fact he had his army at the worst possible place when Mana dropped and took out the Lair and Spire should probably dispel any conspiracy theory. That or Stephano is actually a genius and he let that go down on purpose to dispel any conspiracy theory...

Well, my point was that he was wearing something over his ears for his games vs MKP, I'm not accusing him of ear hacking, just some food for thought those saying "Oh if one player heard them, couldn't they all?" arguement.

Man, all your argumentations is invalid because of this.
We all know the MLG organistion sucks (Incontrol's Pool, Extended series, too many Bo3 if you lose 1 game in winner bracket)
ATM, Stephano is clearly better than IdrA.
