Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied.
Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't.
Srsly, I think regardless of tomorrow's invites the organisers can be criticised because surely there will be non-invites (Morrow Sjow Thorzain Demuslim + all the super good S-class Koreans) that are way better than some of the invites (e.g. Dde, Vibe Moman Staflife Grubby). In other words the number of the so-far-not-invited that are way better than Dde Vibe etc is larger than 5

neither have moman, vibe, artosis or incontrol achieved anything.
Interesting mix of players, though missing plenty of deserving ones. Also, I am going to wonder when a StarCraft 2 tournament will actually implement a proper format for actually gauging skill.
Would be alright to watch, but it doesn't seem like it's worth the money at this point.

Sjow is in. If Demuslim is not in its only because of his injury. I can somewhat understand the Thorzain concerns, but he should have played more tournaments to make more of a name for himself. His own fault. I am quite certain that Morrow will be in (anything else would just be unexplainable).

With groups of 10 players this will be it. (at least for the groupstage) No upsets possible by just screwing up 1-2 Bo3 or getting bad matchups.
Somebody would have been left out and there would have been whiners no matter what, so I'm fine with how it is. There really aren't that many debatable picks, not anywhere near enough to ruin it. Especially if you exclude Koreans, and I for one don't want a lag-infested league. Turnover is pretty high so whoever doesn't belong will get kicked out pretty quickly.

Is the max. players per team set to 5? If yes, DeMuslim is not in.

Can someone from the NASL clarify this, since I've been hearing conflicting info on this in the last weeks: iIs it bottom 16 out or bottom 8 out?
16 players out. I don't know how they plan on handling ties though. There's a picture of the format in the Q&A thread.
you are wrong
bottom 16 go to the play offs, top 8 of those play-offs get back into next season. The other 8 spots are filled by the top 8 of the open qualifier.
no 16 go to next season qualifier, which is a 16 player tournament of which the top 8 goes to the next season.
Where do you think the other 8 spots come from then (8 from qualifier, 34 from top 34 divisions)
No. This was a specific question in the Q&A thread.
- 34 players from the 50 stay (we agree on this) - 8 players from the 1024 man open tournament qualify (see green L shaped line) - There are open qualifiers (anyone who wants to try out can) and those are the 8 spots. The bottom 16 can make it back (purple requalify line) into the NASL by making it through the NASL qualifier (like code A try outs)
34 + 8 (from 1024 man tourny) + 8 (from next seasons qualifiers) = 50 season 2 NASL players.
So the only open question is about the next season qualifiers. From the picture I thought the next season qualifiers consist only of the bottom 16 of he first season, and the top 8 of these go back into the league. This would effectively mean a tornover of 8 players per season.
If I understand you right, your opinion is that there will be more people than these 16 in the next season qualifiers. How many? Where will these players come from, and what will the format be? Can you give a link to the part in Q&A where this was answered?
edit: Alright I found it.
We will also be hosting two tournaments that grant entry into Season 2.
The Open Tournament will be open to any player who is not currently in the league – the top 8 players in this tournament will qualify for Season 2 in addition to the winner being granted a spot in the Grand Finals of Season 1.
Lastly, we will host a Season Qualifier tournament from which the top 8 players will be given seats to Season 2. The Season Qualifier is open to any player who has not qualified for Season 2.
Both of these tournaments will be a single elimination tournament capped at 1024 players, in which all matches are best of three. These tournaments will have a small entry fee charged per player.
So the "next season qualifier" will be an open 1024 player tournament just like the "Open Tournament". The only difference between these two is that the "next season qualifier" is held after teh season while the "Open Tournament" will be held during the season. Kind of dumb that they give different names for basically the same tournament.
This means we will indeed have a turnover of 16 players out of 50 per season. That is significantly bigger than GSL and makes this tournament quite open. Therefore any criticism over the invites, even if somewhat justified, is alleviated by this.
NASL should of followed what TSL did imo they have what 50k viewers for every TSL? Inviting Koreans + Quals cause lets face it there are some players on the list that are highly overrated. TSL gave us great play by unknowns Cruncher / Adel / ThorZain

I'll look for it real fast hard to go through 90 pages though might be faster to PM Xeris.
