I really hope they do qualifiers next time because I'm very disappointed on how the invites are picked. Also the groups seem not to be made random and if I add the casting from replays, I have all the reasons not to be hyped about NASL ...

i'm very very disappointed with the lack of korean invites given how many of them applied. nasl claims to care about results but there are some very unproven players being invited and i hope that doesn't mean that some of the top koreans that haven't been announced yet are passed over.

sad to agree but its true.

look at supernova, he applied and showed hes one of the best even on the KR -> NA server recently crushing EVERYONE in the FX Open. Comeon, beating Select in a TvT with significantly higher latency is a huge fucking feat. i actually dont think he lost more than 3-4 games the whole tournament. yet he wont get in.

By now it appears a few of the players got in because they wanted to include a few players from every sponsored team. I this is an assumption, I don't actually know which clans have sponsors. ViBe and to a lesser extent (at the time they invites were decided) Cruncher appear beneficiaries of this, while Minigun, not that I particularly personally rate him high, may have lost his spot because Root already had a bunch of players participating.

I hope NASL makes their selection criteria public

Guys talking about koreans... there are still 5 more invites. and most likely 4 or 5 of them will be koreans... so sit tight and calm down.

I mean: Nada, MC, July, and Boxer all applied... but they might not all want to be in the NASL.

I mean we could still see say supernove instead of MC who might not want to join and might want to focus on GSL only...

Based on GosuGamers ELO rankings, here are the top remaining Koreans that applied and don't have an invite yet. Every one of them have enough results to get them into the NASL. It is apparent that NASL wanted to limit the number of Koreans in the tourney.

what i meant, is that they applied... but after applying they might have been explained a few things that might make them not want to participate.

I mean, especially after the TSL with the lag... some of the top players might not want to play on the lattency and make themselves look worse then they really are. Who knows.
