[NASL] Players (final) - Page 122
Forum Index > StarCraft 2 Tournaments |
Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't.

I'm sorry if I missed something, but are the groups completelly rigged or somewhat random? I'm sure something has been done to separate team members/koreans, and maybe to keep players like Zenio/Idra and Moon/Grubby in the same group, but to what extent? If the groups are manually chosen, some seem to be unfairly stacked to me.

Even though I'm a huge fan of Ret and I'm glad he is in, but looking at the current layout there are four groups with Liquid players meaning either huk or Jinro won't be able to participate (or both). Both Jinro and Huk chose not to apply. This is because they have to practice a ton for GSL and need to sleep. With the time zone differences the games would fall early in the morning in Korea and they felt that time could better be spent sleeping / practicing.

Even this will sound like a slight to pokebunny, if he was invited I think there would be an uproar and rightly so. The only reason he's even remotely known is mostly because of the "grudge" match vs plexa.

In the same way, I don't really expect July either, possibly replace him with Thorzain. That seems to be a really bad reason to keep them out. Don't invite them because they are too good? They sent their applications, they know that they would have to play simultaneous competitions.

Xeris and incontrol have posted in this thread saying everybody will be satisfied by tuesday, have patience, etc. As has been shown by several posts above, with 50 spots it is now mathematically certain that absolute top players will not be accepted, and people will almost certainly be dissatisfied. However, expanding to 55 or 60 spots would allow them to accept most/all of the worthy applicants.

Before TSL 10 days ago he was fairly unknown, and I'm sure the contracts were all signed well before that broadcast, so its not really surprising to me. He has been #1 in the world a few times though and maintained one of the best winratios in eu for quite some time. Been impressive the few times he has been in the spotlight pre-FD. I would definitely put him in before a lot of the players chosen, even though he hasn't been playing in "enough" tournaments to be well known. But I realise I was in the minority in expecting him to beat Fruitdealer as well as rooting for him to get into nasl. :/ Apps should have been 1 week later. Then he would probably be in.

Well, why would they have gone trough the trouble to sent an application and make a video in english? I don't understand what changed since that time and now. It was the players that asked to participate, not NASL that asked them.
